This family run Villa sports the BEST restaurant in Costa Rica. Patrick, the Chef is phenomenal and has cooked for royalty and many US President’s.The food is exquisite, perfectly executed and incredible tasting. Dean (Patrick’s son) loves to fish and the specialty of the day is always his catch. Fantastic family, super friendly (you are welcomed like an old friend) , we went twice and could have ate there again and again. Simply the BEST! Thank you!

Very cool atmosphere with first rate food.The staff was amazing, Carmenere very nice and the food was lovely (pizzas, carpaccio, bruschetta were all very tasty and filling).The staff treated us to a passion fruit liqueur that was the perfect cap to a great evening.Highly recommended place to spend an evening and have a wonderful meal.thank you to share your experience! was a pleasure to have you here with us, we hope to see you soon

Trust me, being a foodie from Los Angeles has afforded me the opportunity to enjoy many great eats from around the world. Although, I have not traveled to Italy, I imagine that Enea's is a part of Italy that has miraculously transported itself to Tamarindo, Costa Rica. This hidden gem is off of the main strip and wonderfully so. You get to enjoy some of the best homemade food in the seclusion of a private, quiet, and quaint tropical setting... not to mention, great service! I can't say enough about this place. Ate a waffle and had a mango smoothie here yesterday. Nestled in a small side walkway leading to Tamarindo beach the Waffle Monkey is a great option if you want a morning breakfast to go and then walk a few short steps to the beach to eat. A few tables outside great view and tasty waffles. My son had the cheese and ham waffle while I had the mango smoothie. Had s friendly iguana stop by our table too. Nice folks run the Waffle Monkey. Overpriced. Boring. Drinks are regular. Pool: no big deal. Waiters and bar tenders are as boring as the whole place is. Street sales men and women all over the Beach area offering tours, masagges, surfing lessons, etc. made it feel unsafe. Would search for other options around next time.
