Historical winehouse and restaurant, fresh cooked meals, swabian and seasonal foods. Nice preparation and good wines. Entire ingredients and friendly service, English-speaking
My family and I discovered the Pfauen Weinstube via Trip Advisor as we were making the long journey back from northern Germany to Switzerland. My husband and I were greeted by a very kind and friendly woman (whom I assume was the owner), who gave us a perfect table for us and our two young daughters (6 & 17 months). Throughout the duration of our stay, the comfort of our children was of highest importance to the service team- we did not feel like we were posing an inconvenience in the dining room. The food was really fantastic. The best of the local Swabian kitchen can be tasted here including hand made spätzle and maultaschen. We chose venison dishes (Hirsch) that were really delicious. Everything was very fresh and all of the sauces were homemade. We felt genuinely welcome and warmly cared for. We can highly recommend this restaurant to families (and anyone wishing to eat high quality regional cuisine).
Hier arbeiten Profis!! Hingehen, wohlfühlen!

Again, A bit surprised by the raving TA reviews. Other than cute decor everything about this played shrieked mediocre - from the food selection to the food quality. Very bland, simple pizza and pasta, ok hamburgers (they forgot the cheese and never brought it). But the worst part, the lovely server was left in her own at lunch time rush on a Saturday and a meal that should have taken less than an hour took 2.5 hours!!!!!!! My little girls both had serious meltdowns while waiting for food. We would have left but everything was either packed or only open for dinner. Definitely give this one a miss.

We found this place while exploring the town, and made reservations to come back that evening for dinner. This place is very popular with locals, so we are very glad we made those reservations. It's very charming and modern-looking, the food was excellent, and our server, Yvonne, was outstanding. They don't have a translated menu (which is fine-we enjoy trying to decipher what we can), and Yvonne helped by translating every dish on the menu for us. She was very helpful, kind, and fun. This place was a one-of -a kind experience.

We stopped here for a dinner and the staff could not have been more helpful and efficient. We had Gemusegratin which was wonderful and looking at other diners food, everyone seemed to be very happy with their choice and have to say the portions were plentiful.

Cosy overnight stay in a relaxing ambiance in fully renovated modern rooms with absolute feel-good atmosphere. Your home from home - with a familar atmosphere
This restaurant is in the centre of an interesting village with parking outside. It is Black Forest in style and there is a small beer garden with an impressive barn. Deficits were redeemed by the fantastic fillet steak with outstanding baked potatoes and pasta dishes together with the ambiance and good selection of beers. However there was a wedding in the function room and I think this led to rather slow service. Also the salad was a little tired which should not happen in a restaurant with a fast turnover. The waiter, who I think was the owner, was very friendly and personable. The cost for 2 with drinks was around 60⬠which is quite expensive but we will return if in the area again.

Went there today for a Sunday lunch meal. We (a group of three) had not made a reservation, but were offered a table within just a couple of minutes even though the place was packed. The server showed up immediately to take our orders and came back after a few minutes with drinks and starters. All of us were very pleased with the quality of the food. The menu offers a choice of Swabian classics. You will not be disappointed. Prices are on reasonable level, considering the high quality and nice presentation.
