We were looking for a place to host a murder mystery party in wine country. We stumbled upon this one, no longer hungry but in the mood for a drink. The service was impeccable for such a small order, and we talked to the owner about our party plans. She was extremely excited about our plans and eager to work with us. They have a large smoker in the courtyard, and we asked about that. They were planning a BBQ fest a few weeks later, so we returned for that.The BBQ fest was incredible. The flavours we know from across the southern USA, but on fine china with again, impeccable service. We booked our mystery dinner.The dinner was last weekend, and I'm happy to say that cooperation with the owner worked very well. We were able to arrange a 3 course meal at a fixed price to accommodate all dietary restrictions, in a separate room with a wonderfully decorated table. 10 of 10 guests commented on how wonderful the food was. Even those who aren't huge wine connoisseurs were able to appreciate the wines selected. Again, this may be because of the service.I have already sent friends here, and they have already booked their private functions here after 1 meal. We'll be back sometime soon. Even if it just to sit in the garden and have a glass of fine local wine.

We stayed at the Hotel Salischer Hof for 1 night and decided spontaneousely to have dinner at the hotel restaurant after seeing their menu. We managed to get one of the last tables in the garden restaurant. The service was very friendly and personal. The menu has a lot of local specialties and local wines. The quality of the food is great and perfectly cooked and presented. If you like local German food then this is a place to check out.

If it would be just for the beautifully restored old farm house and barn (nice outside terrace) in Maudach, this would be one of my most preferred hang-outs when in the Ludwigshafen area. However, at the end of the day the food counts. And that is unfortunately not the fortune of this place. If the owner Nicola is really Italian and a chef he must have forgotten a lot of his schooling. One of the most beloved Italian dishes 'Saltimbocca alla Romana' with unsavory formed ham? What the heck? No sage either? Come on. In Italia a chef who would concoct a dish like that would run the risk to get shot on the street after leaving the restaurant! The pizza looked frozen and tasted the part, meat quality of the filet was sub-par (was it a filet at all?) Maybe here the kitchen is spoiled by the low expectations of the local clientele. If you love Italian cuisine don't eat here! I won't return, for certain.

They present rather traditional than over-modern elegant cuisine using high-quality ingredients. Family-owned and driven, this place has a 30-year history and lots of regular guests. For us, it was the first time, bur we liked it and will be back some time.The 5-course menu at 98⬠is noch cheap, but omitting any course (can be the dessert as well) brings it down to 84⬠and is still more than sufficient. Nice wine recommendations as well.

We had dinner there, made a reservation as the place is small. The service was wonderful, we really enjoyed the food, their salad dressing was delicious. We had a bottle of local wine, which we really liked. Prices are fine for such great food, definitely recommend. Visited with clients on Thursday. Absolutely outrageous meal!! 5 courses of perfection. With matching wines. Then some more wine to taste after. Then the whisky trolley. Then the snapps trolley!! What a way to be treated!! The service was amazing throughout. Thank you to all the staff. A meal to remember for a long time.

This is one of those homely restaurants that can be found all over Germany. Small and cosy place with just around 12 tables indoors. The food, though, stands out tremendously from the other restaurants I tried. The schnitzel (breaded pork chop) and garden salad are sincerely the best I ever had so far, in whole of Germany. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, so if you are looking for an authentic German dining experience, you will be happy you found Backstubb.

Ich kenne das Ebnet noch aus meiner Kindheit, damals übernachteten Verwandte dort, aber für wirklich mehr taugte es nicht.Seit ca. 3,5 Jahren bin ich nun immer mal wieder zum Essen hier. Das Restaurant hat sich unglaublich gemacht. Es gibt viele verschiedene Events durch das Jahr. Auch einen runden Geburtstag haben wir hier gefeiert.Im Januar 2018 waren wir jetzt zum Grünkohl-Essen dort. Das Ebnet ist eines der wenigen Restaurants hier in der Gegend, das die norddeutsche Köstlichkeit serviert.Neben dem klassischen Grünkohl hatte mein Mann das Rumpsteak - der gedünstete Grünkohl war ein absolutes Gedicht!!!Meine Vorspeise (Grünkohl-Salat) war super!!!Einziger Schwachpunkt ist die Weinkarte, die halte ich noch für Ausbaufähig. Aber man findest definitiv einen guten, soliden Wein.Ich freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch.

Very good restaurant with fresh quality, creative cook, very obliging waiters. Indeed, the boss is very according to to the staff near the guests if sometimes not function so well. We didn´t like this, therefore, we are not so often here. It is a pity, because the fish is absolute perfect.

Our neighbors took us there because they remembered it as a good place for German food. Well, it had changed and all our four dishes were somewhere between deep frozen and microwaved and tasteless. But they give you a free aperitif to start with.
