When you are greeted at the door like you are entering someone's home, you know you are in for something special. Massimo introduces himself and shakes your hand really making you feel welcome. The food was just as good as the hospitality. We enjoyed the pici al ragu and fettuccine al pesto, both really fantastic. It is a bit difficult to find so leave yourself a few minutes and wander this quiet but adorable Italian town and take in the views.

We came for lunch to this wonderful and modern restaurant with stylish interior. All service personnel was very friendly and helpful. Tough eating in chaotic Siena, this unusually cool placed cafe, is excellent, out of center craziness but 5minutes walk to the center, the lasagna isnât over the top tasty while the service is nothing I have seen in italy.i stopped for a drink but had to eat. It was a wonderful experience to goto Dispensa and have lunch with tradition Tuscan specialities! Itâs high quality products and varieties and the Andrea Parrini the owner is a great, very simpatic and give you a warm welcome ! He can explain you all the varieties of Tuscan cheeses, hams and wines and itâs a good value for money... I was very happy to be there and I bought some bottles of Chianti wine according to Andrea Parrini recommendation. itâs a very agreable and intimist place in the heart of the Chianti ,Tuscany, I love this paese ! The food is simply amazing. Everything we had tried very delicious and presentation of each dish is fantastic. Portions are small, but after 7 of them (plus 2 more from the chef) you feel more than satisfied. The staff is nice, very knowledgeable, good English. Wine list is super as well, and they have very good wines available from about 100 Euro per bottle, to a few thousands. The night before we had good dinner at Enoteca Pinchiorri, dinner is good as well, but you canât find any bottle of wine cheaper than 300 euro. Over all we enjoyed food at Arnolfo more than at Enoteca Pinchiorri. Very well deserved Michelin stars. We had the entire restaurant for ourselves - what a treat. Hotel has closed for the winter and it was a Wednesday which explains our fortune. Let me start with best part; the team of servers, sommelier and cooks. They were fantastic, friendly, warm, professional, educational and detail oriented. They were there as needed but not noticed at the same time. The tasting menu with wine pairing was a magnificent treat. Allowing yourself to be guided by true artist down a flavor experience can be risky but when done superbly as it was last night, it makes for an extraordinary memory. Extra special when shared with your lovely spouse. On our next trip to San Gimignano we will stay at the hotel to receive the total immersion. if you are anywhere near by âDonât miss this GEM of a dining and culinary experience. We have the great opportunity to travel quite a bit â this just jumped to our number one culinary/ dining experience. We were staying in Florence and took a brief car trip south to tour the area. Itâs off the beaten path but google maps got us there. The Inn fits right into a picture postcard. The service is very friendly and attentive. The food is just EXCEPTIONAL. The chef (Guido) can over to our table and he mirrors the engaging atmosphere of the Inn We were 2 couples and we all had different dishes - all were great. If you are planning to be in Montalcino and love great food and warm hospitality, make a reservation here for the most wonderful lunch. Currently serving lunch and also hosting cooking classes. From the minute you arrive Alessandro gives you the biggest and most enthusiastic welcome. And his wife, Manuela is an amazing chef who creates delicious and beautiful dishes. Along with other family members, they run a a real farm where the majority of the ingredients are from. Six of us dined here our last day in Montalcino and if we came the first we would have returned many times. We adored everything about Locanda Dametra. Bravo to this family for creating such a special experience.
