Great for couples, solo or groups. Various set menus at 24, 30, or a la carte. Signature is the duck brochette hanging from vertical steel ring. Daube excellent. Puddings also brilliant, Service slowish (78 covers), maybe a bit understaffed, suggest get there early. 7.15. Eat outside on the narrow terrace under plane trees. Bistro 23 is the most amazing surprise during our 8 day stay in Provence. We went mainly because they were open on Sunday night; and experienced The BEST food we had the entire trip. Every single dish was unique, complex, and memorable. Not Michelin food, better with whole portions of the best food we have had in France ever! This restaurant is a Must go to when touring Avignon, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Orange and the surrounding wine country. We wish we had discovered sooner as would have gone back until having tried every single item on the menu. Thanks Bistro 23.

We had dinner at Auberge de La Camarette during our recent trip to Pernes.Everything was top notch... the service was outstanding with our server explaining both the menu and the courses. The food was out-of-this-world excellent!We would have returned for a second meal but we were unable to get a reservation as they were fully booked. Darn!! Next time!I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Pernes!

Hold onto your hats. There's a superb new seafood restaurant in town!The location may seem inauspicious, but the Bistrot du Large is full of surprises.On the first floor of an unprepossessing building, you could be forgiven for thinking that this bistro is in the heart of Paris....chic and sophisticated, this is a restaurant runby people who know what they are doing. There is only seafood: the freshest and finest fish and shellfish, delivered three times weekly. We're told there is no freezer...which tells you everything. Difficult to choose from such a divine menu.....assiettes de fruits de mer including atasting plate of a section of different oysters, mussels, prawns, clams and whelks,a dazzling array of fish dishes and an extremely good value menu du jour at â¬19.50at lunchtime during the week. There's an impressive array of white wines to complement your choice.One can choose between the cozy interior and the gorgeous terrace with panoramic views over the Vaucluse hills....the service is impeccable. Attentive and well-informed. These are seafood professionals......a flawless performance.

We dinned at this restaurant on the recommendation of our Airbnb host. It was everything we were told plus more. The food epitomised the best of French cuisine and the service was warm and friendly. Great value for a high quality experience.

We stopped here for an impromptu lunch and were just thrilled with our find. The ambiance and the food were just fantastic. We all chose a variety of lunch meals and were very happy with the presentation and the flavours were sensational and delicious. We were a mixed age group and all very impressed with our lovely lunch. My canard was sensational - merci!!Parking was easy and the resturant was open and airy.

Chez Serge has been around for a long time......always reliable, but never surprising. Could use a bit of a faceleft/change of direction perhaps as it's being overtaken by some of the newcomers.....but it never lets you down and there is something to be said for that.

Auberge St. Roch has only 16 seats, and no outdoor patio. It's decor is very plain. But the food is SPECTACULAR. Each plate is a small masterpiece of design and color, you could be in a 3-star in Dijon! If you are in Beaumes, do not miss having a mean here. Fine wine list of great local reds, tiny menu, it all adds up to something special. We went back the next night - and it was still great the second time. Go!

We arrived shortly after 7pm and received excellent service, avoiding the 8pm rush. The fois grois starter with a macaroon was delicious, the quail entree was spectacular, probably the best quail I've ever had, boneless and so tasty. The side of truffle blue cheese mashed potatoes was divine. The desert was also delicious and all on a â¬32 tasting menu. Our total bill was under â¬100 with a bottle of wine and 2 glasses of white wine to start. Competing with the best meal on our trip and we went to a Michelin 3 star. A real foodie find. Would highly recommend!

Great homemade pasta and easily the best pizza we had in France. Brilliant value too. The proprietor is very friendly and clearly an excellent chef. As mentioned in previous reviews this is a small restaurant and can get full quickly, so book ahead or pop into town for an aperitif until a table becomes available. Highly recommended!
