Absolutely fabulous food, right on the beach, along with excellent, local wine served by a very knowledgeable owner. The owner, waitor and chef all very welcoming and friendly. I had tiny little, light as air dumplings with plump fresh muscles - heavenly!! Husband had linguine with octopus and squid, freshly caught that day, in a spicy tomato sauce. Mopped up the sauce with gorgeous, crusty chewy bread. This is a small, intimate restaurant, very relaxed atmosphere, expect to wait for excellent food that is cooked freshly for you, using local ingredients. We will definitely be back and recommend to all our friends who visit this magical island

Wandered past in the afternoon and noted a Michelin star rating for 2016, 2017 ...we booked!! Great seafood, wine and exvellent service.... treat yourself to this dining experience with a table on the enclosed terrace - overlooking the bay... you will not be disappointed!!!

Very beautiful location on the beach, from its windows you can see blue water of the bay and also watch over your clothes on the beach.Very beautiful interior, design tables. A local hangout that has excellent pizza but we were disappointed with the rest of the food. Nice people - looks like a family operation with Nona at the cash register. Parking is nonexistent so we parked in the port parking lot and walked. They don't really start serving until 7:30 but most locals come in at 8:00 or 8:30. Real wood fired brick oven and they serve a wonderful flat bread, hot out of the oven when you sit down to order.

Usually, we don't like places that have everything - pizza, seafood, pasta,... But La Meridiana was different. Recommended by locals who know what good food is, it was a perfect choice. A nice walk from Forio center, the restaurant is on the beach which means fabulous seaview.We had some pizza and a grilled fish and both was more than perfect. A pizza that pizzaioli in Naples would be ashamed of and a perfectly grilled sea bream. With a kind family atmosphere in the place (the whole family participating in cooking/serving process) and excellent food, this is on our dining list for the next visit of Ischia.

Amazing! We ended up here after the restaurant we had planned to visit (based on reviews) didnât have an extensive menu. There are about 5 bars along the sea front here and we were too early for dinner service, which was 7:30/8 ish (as we skipped lunch) however the owner of this place offered to make us some light, so we happily accepted his kind offer and wow! The freshest meal of our entire trip!! Bruschetta with tomato, mozzarella, garlic, basil & rocket. Beautiful!! We ended a few hours here as the lemoncello spritz & aperol spritz he was making was spot on, the view was amazing and the restaurant was filling up which is always a good sign! The main course was also lovely, gnocchi with tomato & mozzarella (Iâve eaten a lot of this, this holiday!) and a mussel & tomato spaghetti (without shells which my friend appreciated as everywhere else she has been fighting crustaceans!)Overall a beautiful view, lovely food & fantastic service!

We visit this restaurant at least twice a year, the food gets a little better each year and is now one of the best on the island of Ischia. Service is prompt and professional and we look forward to returning later in the year

On our last night in beautiful Ischia we ate in this restaurant as we were staying in the hotel. And what a meal we had. Fantastic presentation, fantastic service, fantastic food and wine. A well deresrved Michelin star restaurant. Itâs a pity that we didnât discover this place at the beginning of our stay!To be honest, I think that it has nothing to envy to the near starred restaurant!My âPennoni ai tartufi di mareâ(sea truffles) and âCappuccio dâasticeâ(lobster) were absolutely superb... and the chef Marcello is such a welcoming guy!

This restaurant is beautifully set almost at sea level on the pier of Hotel Regina Isabella in Ischia. Beautiful setting (a bit hard to find the restaurant as well hidden and not indicated at all). The place is beautiful, but that's it. The menu (it's a starred restaurant) is very simple and not so appealing but very expensive. You get very very very small portions (but really extremely small) for an unreasonable price. Plus there is no smoking free area, so you end up in a highly expensive restaurant in an open air setting that highlights special flavors all accompanied by the smell of the cigarette of the neighboring table. How to turn a nice place into a disaster. They should really make a separation between smokers and non smokers as at the end of the day if you eat special food (that is really so limited) you need to taste it all not to taste it with the smoke of the adjoining table. We also waited for 40 minutes after the meal to get the bill (and had to ask for it twice as we were limited in time -our babysitter had to leave at a certain time). We had been to other starred restaurants in other countries, but this is really just scene: all dishes well presented but limited in substance. We never saw the chef nor the maître, so really the star is just given for the scene, the panorama and the pricesDear guest,the cuisine of our Chef Pasquale Palamaro is simple but particular in flavours.We are aware that we can't please everyone and maybe you expected some extreme dishes. So, we are sorry you didn't like our menu and spent an unpleasant dinner because of smokers.Warmest regards
