Das Restaurant hat uns überrascht. Die Karte war umfangreich ebenso wie die Speisen. Es lohnt sich, vorher zu fragen, wie groà die Portion ist. Den Rippchenteller haben selbst die Männer nicht geschafft. die Bedienung war super freundlich.Einzige Einschränkung....nur Barzahlung. Das ist leider nicht mehr zeitgemäÃ.

Our team of five enjoyed a fine meal at the Ratskeller. The food was excellent, the service quick and professional, the prices surprisingly less than other comparable restaurants. The cuisine is traditional German and offers a diverse selection of meat and vegetable dishes. The diner has so much to choose from and will surely find something to satisfy his palette. The food's quality was evident and had that delicious "from scratch" taste. We especially enjoyed the vast selection of desserts - including apple strudel and ice cream sundaes. So make sure you save room for it! The restaurant decor is perfect for the tourist wanting that authentic German dining experience. Direkt am Waldrand und in einer Gartenanlege gelegen, lädt die Gaststätte nicht nur nach einer Wanderung zur Einkehr ein. Die Küche ist typisch deutsch und auf jeden Fall handgemacht. Der Biergarten ist im Sommer ein wunderschöner Platz zur Erholung. Ein Schwätzchen mit dem Wirt lohnt sich immer!

The location is out of the way, but it is a lovely spot to have a meal! We ate outside and loved the cozy setting. The menu was imaginative and the food very well prepared. There were several families with children there when we were. Service was excellent and the food was VERY good.

This eatery has daily deals for good value. We had the XL schnitzel with fries, garlic sauce and a drink for 9.63 EUR. This is the wednesday deal. Service was absolutely friendly. We can wholeheartedly recommend this place!

Wednesday was "schnitzeltag": for a good size piece of meat (pork baked in panko batter) with fries and some greens you can't go wrong for EUR 5,00! Add a beer: they have a wide selection of international beers (they even have guiness on tap!) or a nice glas of wine and you are all set for lunch.

Of the offered beers my choice was the "Lagerbier" relaly nice tasting and a very good starter for our dinner. The mushroomcreame was wonderful cooked and served. As main course we had three different kind of meat, typical German cooking and top tasting up to the bottom of the bowls of each course. A nice and chilled white as well as a tasty read wine went down smoothly. And the chokolade mouse topped with white creame were a very nice final, even if I had some Magenaufraeumer - a digestive they told me - at the end.

I went here with several colleagues and had the schnitzel with white asparagus. The atmosphere was excellent and the staff efficient with the food brought quickly. There is also a quirky water fountain. An enjoyable meal washed down with a few beers. Thank you!
