Le Vieux Chateau is hidden away from the main street behind trees and placed in a park surrounded by a moat, where a Black swan is reigning with its entourage of ducks. The restaurant itself is more like a large dark living room with huge Castle Windows and a Warming fire place. We went there Long Friday to celebrate a birthday. The service was impeccable, they did their best to translate the menu (only available in French and Flamish). The food was just great. Variations we hadn't tried yet and nicely served and prepared. Also everyone got 3 different kind of appetizers even though only two had ordered it. The mushroom soup was absolutely heavenly - I did not know, that mushroom soup could taste that good. Complements to the chef! The birthday child (my son) got a surprise plate before dessert. A delicious pineapple/mint cocktail served with a little firework. If you would like to enjoy a great dinner of good quality in beautiful surroundings and great service, then visit this place. Our best recommendations!

Nous sommes arrivés dans ce restaurant par hasard et quelle bonne surprise... L'accueil y a été très chaleureux. Service efficace et sympathique.Les plats proposés au menu sont simples mais difficile de ne pas trouver son bonheur. Plat végétarien au menu.Cuisine simple, bien de chez nous mais néanmoins très bonne.Très bon rapport qualité prix.

Bistronomie de qualité. L'accueil du patron est toujours souriant et le service "cool". Carte de vins assez limitée mais quelques bouteilles de qualité. Une mention "Très bien" aux viandes rouges !

Nous nous sommes rendus dans cet établissement un jour de semaine avec plusieurs autres personnes, après une promenade dans cette belle région " des collines ".Il faut avouer que l'accueil n'a pas été particulièrement chaleureux. Peut être étions nous trop nombreux ( 16 ). Allez savoir...Le repas lui même : rien à redire.Certains ont pris le waterzooi qui était succulent et copieux à souhait. Un vrai régal !D'autres avaient choisi l'américain préparé " maison ".Tout aussi goûteux et excellent et, également, bien copieux.Les frites, faites "maison", pas surgelées, et cela se goûtait très bien !Pour boire, la carte comporte une belle brochette de bières - locales et nationales - et bières classiques.La carte des vins, bien fournie avec prix très bien étudiés.En finalité, cet établissement mérite qu'on s'y rende pour bien manger, avec produits frais, bien préparés, une cuisson des viandes superbement alléchante et parfaitement réussie.Le seul bémol, peut être était ce un hasard lors de notre visite, consiste en l'accueil un peu "froid", et par moments, le manque de communication entre la serveuse (patronne ?) lors d'une demande de renseignements pour telle ou telle chose.

Nous avons été bien accueillis et passé un bon moment de table. Le cadre et la décoration sont élégants, vue panoramique et musique lounge discrète, on s'y sent bien. Le menu a été savoureux, surprenant et raffiné, avec de beaux dressages. Une bonne adresse.

The intention of the owners is to create an "haute-cuisine" restaurant. However, I think this is exactly where this restaurant is missing its target. This is a good restaurant but its to heavy to be a weekly return-restaurant and it is not refined enough to be a trendy restaurant.Kleine rechtzettingDe intentie van de eigenaars is zeker NIET een "haute-cuisine" te serveren,en ook niet een trendy restaurant te zijn. Wij weten niet wie u dat verteld heeft, maar dit is niet correct.Wat we wel willen ... is onze klanten in de watten leggen en savoureuse gerechten klaarmaken aan een goede prijs/kwaliteits verhouding. Wij denken dat we daarin geslaagd zijn als we de feed-back van onze klanten horen.Spijtig dat u het niet kon waarderen,maar misschien kan u dat wel bij een volgend bezoek. Maison D is in the centre of Ronse and lovely interior. Once you enter you are welcomed by the staff that are friendly and real professional. Not only food that is delicious but very nice presented and the that comes along with the whole menu are nice. We have enjoyed every minute of it and we sure will go back.

Though we have only dined at the Chateau du Mylord once before, we were greeted like regular visitors and felt welcome, which definitely also is thanks to sommelier Bart Lamont. The whole evening is like an adventerous luxurious culinaric trip with small surprises along the road. The micro-menus are my favourite. They are like a total surprise and the taste sensation is just fantastic. We went for the "Back from Holidays" menu...loved it. And the wine..... I can only recommend to choose the wine menu and let Bart handle the wine selection. If you appreciate delicate food, superior wine and being totally spoiled, you should pay Chateau du Mylord a visit ;-).
