A few issues to note: noisy plumbing whenever water is running or toilet flushing; area around upstairs fire exit littered with old furniture (could be made into quite a nice balcony); noise in rooms from music in bar below (although this is to be expected when staying in a pub). All easily rectified.Now for the positives: Friendly, helpful staff providing an excellent service. Sympathetically refurbished building, creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. Room clean and comfortable. Thoughtful touches (I presume a female hand in this). Lovely large bed. The pictures on the website really don't give the rooms the credit deserved. Delicious food in restaurant. Fabulous breakfast. Very good value for money. Would recommend and would return.

Recently a couple of my family members visited the restaurant for a lunch, they thoroughly enjoyed the the experience the food and service, as a professional working in the hospitality industry and a ex student im so pleased that this still exists and absolutely need to be supported so wonderful that they have awarded a AA rosette, my hats off to you and your students, I personally will be eating there the next time I'm down..Thank you for your feedback, it really helps us to support the students into moving into a positive career.

We dined last Friday evening in the restaurant and the whole experience was delightful from start to finish. All of the staff were friendly and professional. The tables are well spaced out in the tastefully and appropriately decorated elegant dining room. The young lady pianist/ vocalist was entertaining and an excellent accompaniment to the meal.The ambience was relaxed and there was a really good selection for all three courses on the menu. The scallops were beautifully cooked and the salmon trio starter was delicious and well presented. The ribeye and the fillet steaks we had were again beautifully cooked to our taste. For the dessert we chose the sharing platter which had a selection of six of the available desserts. Again, all were delicious and beautifully presented. We had our coffees in a library/ lounge room adjacent to the dining room and continued the evening in a lovely relaxed setting.

I must say I thoroughly enjoyed my curry from the Tap Haus this afternoon, after a long days work I really fancied something different for dinner, I had seen the deal 'curry and a drink £7.95' advertised and instantly decided this was for me. I had a korma, and the taste was fantastic, something you would expect from a top class indian restaurant. Simply wonderful.I will certainly be back for more!

Myself and husband ate on the Thursday evening. The salmon was cooked to perfection with a gorgeous, fancy potato ring. My husband had poulet Breton and he totally enjoyed it. We complimented the chef. I'm salivating thinking about it. The food is superb probably the best Italian restaurant food ever, seriously.Service very good and staff equally so and not always in your face.They have some excellent fish dishes.Only problem is the noise, it gets unpleasantly loud unfortunately.

We stayed at nearby Center Parcs this week and booked at meal at Launays yesterday evening to celebrate our Anniversary with family. The meal was absolutely wonderful. The tomato soup was beautiful as was the sirloin steak and the dessert. I cannot praise it enough. We live in Manchester and if we lived nearer we would definitely eat here more often without a doubt.
