Such a cool visit! Breakfast is quite good! Recommend the English sausage for sure! For dinner, I recommend the enchiladas and fajitas. Service was impeccable fir the entire visit. Pool was so nice and relaxing.

My lovely wife and I popped into Pier 88's coffee shop to escape the rain one afternoon. It's separate from the main bar/restaurant area in a nice air conditioned room with plenty of comfy seating. As ever in Sri Lanka, decent espresso coffee comes with a hefty price tag. My large cappacino cost 480 rupees but it was pretty good. My wife had a chocolate & banana shake for 500 rupees and we shared a slice of chocolate fudge cake for another 500 rupees bringing the total bill to 1480 rupees. You can easily get a meal for two for less but if you fancy treating yourself then this is a good choice as everything is high quality and the ambiance very pleasant.Dear Eddy,So glad to hear you enjoyed your coffee and cake at Cafe88 Aluthgama. The hotel tuktuk driver recommended this restaurant and we were certainly not disappointed.The welcome is friendly and enthusiastic. The service attentive and efficient. The menu is comprehensive and the food is great with the cost very reasonable. The tuktuk driver had it spot on!

We visited this restaurant twice during our 4 day stay in Bentota: it had the best service in the area by far. Set in a stunning location looking out to sea, the restaurant also has a peaceful and beautiful garden and indoor seating area. We walked along the beach to the restaurant from Rockside - a lovely walk.All the staff were friendly and welcoming but Jaylath and Gayan in particular made our visits very special. The coffee, pizza and bruschetta here was excellent - fresh and flavoursome; I feel my Italian friends would have approved!Prices were very reasonable when considering the quality of food, location and service - would heartily recommend!

We were a group of 8 looking and wandered into this restaurant for a late lunch.We ordered some beers and some placed at least 7 different orders for lunch. The beer came and we waited for the food. And waited... After 35 mins I went in to inquire..It's coming' was the reply, 'just 3 more minutes' which turned into 20.It finally arrived and we fell upon it like we had never eaten before. I know I had the barracuda steak I do't know what the others had! But we polished the plates off! The food was good but then we were so hungry anything would have tasted good!I would probably have given it 4 stars had the service been prompt. :)

The fine dining restaurant attached to Saman Villas is open to the public as well as the residents. The food, we ate there on 5 occasions, is freshly prepared, always beautifully presented and delightfully cooked. All meals were also served with a complimentary amuse-bouche & a pallet cleanser, wines were reasonably priced for a restaurant environment and the service was outstanding by very attentive staff, we were served by many during our stay, and although I cant recall all their names Rushan & Iresha were among those who excelled at their job. Definitely worth a visit
