We really enjoy this restaurant and we go there regularly. The food is really good but the only problem sometimes, is that it can be quite noisy. It really depends on which table you are. Anyway, I definitely recommend this restaurant, but don't forget to reserve in advance. As it isn't big, it might be difficult to get a table on the last minute.

Outside of the city of Maastricht is this beautiful castle. In the evening you are welcomed by a lot of candles lining the pathways to the castle nestled close to the marl caves. After an aperitive in the wine cellars, which I donât think is optimal for the wines, we had a menu in the restaurant. Good service and original with a lot of attention for the âmise en placeâ. Salmon with nori, garlic, quinoa and sambai started with a Japanese touch. Grouper in a Mediterranean way and duck with ras-el-hanout both followed before a chocolate delicacy completed the meal.Dear Maurits, Yes you can have a Conference meeting in a lot of unique locations but a ten minutes drive to our location and into another world is a chance you will find only in Maastricht. In this little and quiet village lies a nice restaurant. Itâs a little drive from Maastricht. If it is a sunny day you can use the terrace at the water. On the otherside of the water is Belgium. Relaxed atmoshere and friendly staff. Food and drinks are very good.

I was in the area with family on vacation and we stopped in Eijsden because it just seemed like an interesting little town, based on an intenet search. We made a reservation here, again, because of the reviews at various internet sites.We were not disappointed in this restaurant or Eijsden. Both the city and the restaurant are HIDDEN GEMS. The food was excellent, the views of Eijsden from the restaurant were great, and food was fairly reasonably priced (a little pricey, but to be expected from a nice restaurant in Holland.Why not a 5 rating - the service was VERY slow and unresponsive. My family were seated quickly, but were ignored by the wait staff for approximately 20 minutes. We almost left! The food took quite some time to arrive! Fortunately, the weather was nice and my family and I were seated at a table outside - so we enjoyed the experience.The experience was so lovely that I would return, again, and just anticipate slow service. In nice weather, sit outside. I so enjoyed Eijsden and this restaurant that my wife and I are planning a vacation in the area next summer so my wife can share in the experience.

We stopped there for lunch halfway through a beautiful hike between Fourons le Compte and Noorbeek. We chose the blood pudding croquettes and the Stilton salad for the main courses and the gourmand coffee and a dame blanche for dessert. They were all very tasty with obviously fresh ingredients and nicely presented.The staff is friendly and the atmosphere inside very old Dutch. We loved it.We paid 55 eur for both of us including two beers : very reasonable taking account of the quality.
