Fitted out in the nature of a large chalet, this restaurant serves a modern twist on traditional German food and also dishes you can expect to find anywhere in the world from a commercially aware business. Popular stuff like steaks, ribs etc, all available, with the German dihes like Schnitzel etc. All standard stuff. Staff were friendly and efficient as the restaurant was nearly empty, but I don't know what service would be like if the place was really busy. I've eaten in many places like this arouind the world, food was decent and price was average. Nothing to complain about. I'd visit again.

Wir sind durch einen Groupon Gutschein auf das Restaurant aufmerksam geworden und waren Freitagabend dort ein dreigang MenÃ¼ mit Fisch oder Fleisch essen und haben es nicht bereut. Wenn man im Lokal sitzt fÃ¼hlt man sich ein klein wenig wie in Italien in einer kleinen Trattoria. Wir wurden sehr nett vom Wirt begrÃ¼Ãt. Es gab zuerst einen gemischten Vorspeisenteller mit verschiedenen Antipasti und kleinen frisch aufgebackenen MinibrÃ¶tchen ,dazu haben wir einen leckeren Aperitif getrunken. Die Schriftsatz war vorzÃ¼glich und hat Lust auf mehr gemacht. Zum Hauptgericht, meine Frau hatte Doradenfilet an WeiÃwein Zitronensauce und ich das Rinderfilet Toskanischer Art mit Gratin dazu haben wir passend einen leckeren WeiÃwein Pinot Grigio und einen Rotwein Montepulciano getrunken. Beide Gerichte waren erstklassig und super lecker. Das Filet so lecker gewÃ¼rzt in Buttersauce mit Knoblauch ,es zerging auf der Zunge und das Doradenfilet auf den Punkt gebraten. Zum ebenfalls sehr leckeren Dessert, Pana Cotta und Expressoeis haben wir uns dann noch einen Espresso und jeweils einen sehr guten Grappa genehmigt um die ganze Sache abzurunden. Und nachdem wir uns sehr nett mit dem Wirt unterhalten haben gab's zum Abschluss noch einen Grappa aufs Haus. Wir kÃ¶nnen das Sottovoce wÃ¤rmstens weiterempfehlen und werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen auch ohne Gutschein.

One of the worst tapas I have ever had. The meat we have had was too dry. We have ordered some meatballs, as dry as possible. We ordered lamb and chicken, super dry asswell. Bummer

Really good food and very nice ambiente make this place a must try in MG. The style is basically turkish with other southern european influences and a broad selection of different meat dishes, fish, pasta and vegetarian plus a huge weekly menu. I tried fried feta, which was delicious, and chicken breast (complete with a sidedish of rice and vegetables) with spinach sauce, also very good (not outstanding though). The service was excellent. The prices are slightly higher than the average in MÃ¶nchengladbach: one main course with a drink can go up to 25-30 Eur.What really Ãmpressed me is the place itself, which is decorated paying a lot of attention to details, making it elegant.The location is not precisely in the city center, but still it's not hard to find. Do not forget to reserve a table, it gets quickly full.

I travel around the world for a living a occasionally finding the right combination of food, drink, and atmosphere. This was it a friend recommended this place and it was everything he said. Family owned and operated by Michael Volonko and his wife and daughter Maike and Pia.We stopped by with 9 of us no notice. They moved some tables around to accommodate us. From the minute we sat down we were treated like kings, the restaurant was busy. We all orders drinks which came quickly for European restaurants. Orders were taking by the owner ( his daughter told us that fact later) we all ordered different meals and not one of us was disappointed. I had what was recommended by staff. It was incredible. Pork breaded with with the best combination of seasoning I could ever imagine. Family recipe I was told. After we recovered from eating big portions we had a few drinks I was honored to meet the the family mom who was not just a good cook but a superb chef. Well I just wanted in life when you meet good people doing a great job like the Volonko's go in and you will not be disappointed.

We discovered Frenzen for us about a year ago and it became our favorite restaurant so far. The cook is great, the service is fast and attentive. The menu is being changed every month, so you will be pleasantly surprised to have an opportunity trying something new.
