I had several dinners here, as well as a business meeting. The service was excellent and the food was delicious and attractive. My companions and I had, at various meals, chicken schnitzel (also ordered one to go for Shabbos), steaks, and deli sandwiches. The meats were prepared to order and the sides (salads, baked potato, etc.) were also excellent. Great wine selection by glass or bottle. Amazing staff; lots of friendly locals.

My daughter's soccer team was in town for the National cup. This restaurant provided an incredible spread of cold cuts and fruit salad. I think the only negative was that it was so well-liked, that we did not have enough bread. They are very professional and very prompt with their service.Glad you were happy. Next time let us know and we'll send more bread. Hope the team did well!

Currently in Denver on personal business. I used to live in Denver 30+ years ago and used to go to the Bonnie Brae Tavern to get a pizza. We decided to go when I found out they were still in business. Was able to park in there lot which is pretty good sized. When I walked through the door it was like I was transported back to the early 1980's. It looked as though nothing had changed except the two brothers who used to run it back then. Now other family members do. Since I used to order pizza there in the past I decided not to break with tradition. We ordered a large 14 inch #1 which has sausage, ground beef, onion, bell pepper and mushrooms. They also offer other pizza specialties or combinations and you can even create your own.Now be aware that this pizza is not deep dish or thin crust it's just a "normal" pizza. When it arrived we dug right in because we did not have any lunch and we were hungry. When pulling the first slice off the tray the cheese looked like it came right out of a TV commercial. Many "strings" of cheese kept getting longer and longer as we pulled a piece from the tray to the plate. The toppings were generous. I did find it interesting that they used red onion instead of white onion on the pizza. This did give it a slightly different taste. Good but different. As I have done in the past, since there are no fractions on the rating system, is that I would give this pizza a 3.5 out of 5. Above average, but below very good. This was a good pizza, but not the best pizza I have ever had.The Bonnie Brae Tavern also offers soups, sandwiches, burgers, Italian dishes and even some Mexican offerings. They also have various appetizers and salads. The Bonnie Brae Tavernas been around since 1934. There motto is " a good place to know, a good place to go!" I would agree. The pizza is good, but it's more about going to a place that has not changed in decades. If you are in the area you should go.

Since 1985, Zaidy's Deli in Denver has been serving hearty, authentic food made from old-world recipes. We serve traditional comfort food for breakfast, lunch and dinner-at all times of the day, and specialize in "homemade" meals. From our famous (and hug
We really liked it here. The service was great, the food was very good, the deserts were excellent. Pickles and kraut served to each patron as you sit down. Great pastrami and corn beef. Iâd for sure go back. The decor was awesome with old pics and I guess the ONLY suggestion I have would be new carpet or a deep cleaning on the carpet.
