Another visit to Avvia and as per usual the atmosphere, staff service and food was amazing. Not often do you find consistency of this kind I'm restaurants. Perhaps it's because they pride themselves on ensuring a dining "experience" above all else. Started with prawn dumplings, then we shared the lamb and prawn gnocchi. Finished with chocolate souffle. We accompanied our meal with a beautiful bottle of Syrah. Every dish was cooked to perfection. Do yourself a favour and give Avvia a visit.Meagan, thanks for leaving such a wonderful review. We wandered in here for lunch one day, and since that day we keep finding ourselves coming back. We've tried almost everything on the menu, and it all has been phenomenally well prepared. The menu is small but imaginative. Get the lamb ribs, or the steak sandwich, or the pork belly, or the fried chicken, or the fritters. Who am I kidding? Get anything, it's all amazing. Service is fast and friendly. If beer's not your thing, they also have a great looking cocktails list, and wine, but I haven't tried any of them yet. We had a special room (including setup time), really great service and excellent food (including gluten free and vegetarian choices). There was a river view until sunset and the vibe was great. After the birthday dinner, we moved to the live music area and enjoyed that as well.The only extra cost above standard prices was $2 a head for white table clothes.So glad to hear that you enjoyed your 50th celebrations in the Cove, it's a great space for enjoying a small intimate celebration.The water and sunset views sure are beautiful, great cocktails and live music would have made it a night to remember!We look forward to seeing you on your next visit!
