Hugo's Restaurant, located on Speightstown's beachfront is Barbados' newest culinary experience. Housing historic items from the Ivy restaurant in London and the late Lord Glenconnerâs home in Mustique, the restaurant takes its name from Hugo, the grandso
Had another lovely evening not dented by the heavy rainfall which fell at times whatsoever. The staff were on top of it.Nice reception and greeting.Great food, although perhaps a little sauce with the shrimp and avocado starter may be welcome.Good, laid back and courteous staff. And, as always a fabulous setting.Keep it up and maintain those high standards.

Very friendly owner, good menu, casual restaurant but amazng location overlooking the sea.Need to wait at counter to order food before finding a table. Menu is all on boards around counter. Not great surrnoundgs otherwise.Great salad and fish sandwich and good selection of cakes and goodies that can be served with ice cream or sauces.Very helpful in calling our taxi when we finished

We ate here because we were staying at the hotel. I generally donât like eating at hotels but since we were offered a free meal for the length of our stay I decided to give it a chance. I was initially skeptical judging from how quiet the restaurant seems to be for dinner and judging from a few of the recent TA reviews however everything was very well done. The waitress was polite and attentive. My rum punch was strong and flavorful. The snapper was some of the best I have had on the island. My wife had a chicken dish which was also good. My tuna appetizer was also well done. Both of our deserts were spectacular. Some of the best bread pudding I have ever had. My wife had a chocolate thing which was also excellent. I would definitely return. On a side night, I have had five breakfasts at Tapestry and while they can get a little busy sometimes, the food has always been very good, and the service genuinely friendly with It being fake.

Is great very clean and tidy and staff are always doing jobs about the site At lunch we used to choose a couple of side dishes such as Mac pie and this was ample when itâs hot We have returned for evening dinner tooThe menu is the same for lunch and dinner but offers enough options to please Prices are competitive and the service we have found is always friendly and competent The setting is stunning just on the boardwalk and within a small beachWe love it here, so weâll done !!

We went to The Mews for date night. Itâs a nice restaurant with a great ambience and excellent service. However, the food was mediocre in comparison to the price. My husband thought his dish was ok. Mine was overcooked and a small portion size.

Was recommended a trip by some guests in our hotel and not disappointed. Service and setting wonderful, extensive menu as as frequent travellers to Thailand we thought we would opt for red curry. One was great but the other far to salty however then took the food away without fuss and with no charge. Lovely evening and many thanks

Ate here again on a recent holiday to Barbados, and as usual it was excellent. Scarlet offers great quality food, cocktails and service. We love to eat here when we visit the island and unfortunately we could only fit in one visit, this time. Baxterâs Road chicken and the burger are our favs, but Scarlet offers a great mix of different starters and mains, and Harold is always there to advise on the wine list. Reasonable prices for good food and service..one of our favourite places on the island for dinner.

Went for breakfast to celebrate my Mums birthday - was not staying at the hotel however the service and staff were absolutely brilliant. We had such a lovely time and enjoyed ourselves. The views were absolutely beautiful and the setting. The selection was nice and enjoyed the different dishes. As it was my Mums birthday they gave a cake and made it a special occasion.Would highly recommend and would visit again. Was pricey but as a special one off treat - we enjoyed it.
