We were advised to try Lyons cafe for lunchIt's upstairs above the department store.Lovely setting with a hot food counter and salad counter. The food was all very luxurious looking and reasonably priced but we weren't that hungryWe opted for fresh potato and leek soup with freshly made breadThe soup was delicious!!So creamy with a slight peppery aftertasteThe bread was just as good too. Apparently freshly made on site too.Very impressedStaff were lovely and full of charmVery warm inviting feel to the place in general

We stopped here as part of our Ireland land tour, so imagine 40 people inside a small tea shop, all lined up for the bathrooms. Yes, not pretty but still, a nice tea/coffee shop with some great pastries and a good bit of souvenirs. Being right next to the church makes it a plus. If traveling on your own, try to avoid the bus tours.

Hotel room was incorrect having booked a double room and given a twin (2 squeaky beds). Receptionist apologized and gave us a double which didn’t have a view (as requested). Room badly in need of painting, grubby walls and small in size. The bathroom fan had to b on (noisy) in order to use power in the room. The bed was quite hard. Good power in the shower but bathroom dimly lit. We didn’t sleep so well as the walls appear to be very thin and the noise level in the morning was high. Squeaky doors and lots of banging. It wasn’t worth the €99 charged for b&b as the breakfast wasn’t good. They had to put on more hot food and so we had a wait for the self service counter. Very fatty bacon. Tables need table cloths as they were sticky. Breakfast room had a lovely view of the sea and mountains. We had bar food at night which was quite nice. We had to ask a few times to have our order taken.
