We spent a long weekend working our way through half a dozen of Valladolid's recommended restaurants such as Martin Quiroga (modern, cool vibe) and Jero (loaded crostini with interesting toppings like foie gras with caramel). However, of all, El Consejero del Rey was simply the best.It's far from the cheapest place in town, but the prices are more than justified by the simply delicious food and incredibly warm service. We had a large plate of foie gras with cream cheese, croutons and a kind of caramel crisp to start and traditional, roast suckling lamb with a light tomato salad for mains (see pics). Nothing complex or revolutionary, just fantastic ingredients treated with respect. They have outdoor seating on a quiet side street, as well as a mezzanine dining room on the inside.Would recommend booking in advance as this place gets popular.

Nice setting, Great service. Interesting menu with surprising tastes and presentation. The service staff is also a chef and partner of the restaurant, always nice to have someone talk about the food with passion and knowledge.

Fui varias veces a este restaurante cuando estaba en La Victoria.En la nueva ubicación me encontré con que se podÃa optar entre comer a la carta y el menú del dÃa, que es de una calidad superior a la media a un precio muy razonable.Lo que distingue a este restaurante es su carta muy cuidada y muy bien elaborada.El producto es de alta calidad y saben tratarlo..Destaco las variedades de atún.El servicio insuperable.

Never quite sure what to expect with TripAdvisor reviews, but this tiny place was the perfect destination for my wife and I after a long day of wine tasting in Pesquera. Service at the bar (we had no reservation but arrived unfashionably early at 20:00 and found the door open) was top class with the 3 brothers putting together a very complete display of how a restaurant should be run. Simple food, beautifully seasoned, as the photos can attest. Loved the informality of the locale and the seasonal, local-sourced approach. We will surely visit on many future occasions.

Jamás he tenido una cena tan increible como esta... una decima planta, un ten table, diez personas sentadas en una mesa con el cheff a nuestro lado tomando diez platos a ciegas, sin saber absolutamente que tomamos, aunque nos lo preparen delante nuestra pero los ingredientes no son desvelados hasta despues de comerlos, toso exquisito,sabraso, acompañado de unos buenos caldos con cada plato y la simpatia de todo el personal, Cheff Peña, Sumilier Barbara y el resto de toda la familia que forman Sibaritas. algo irrepletible

We called asking if they had menu on satruday. They daid YES, but when we arrived they only had "carta" and "tablas". The price was expensive and the quality was normal, just average.
