This restaurant is set inside a wine shop/delicatessen so you know you're getting the best of both worlds. The menu comprises 15 or so dishes on a blackboard with dishes that show off the best this region of Spain has to offer. The apple crumble dessert was a nice touch and a bit of a tribute to the young owner's travels in the U.K. An excellent dinner in this beautiful part of Spain.

Just down the street from our hotel in Ourense. Nice modern interior, friendly service and interesting menu. Wanted something light after a rather indulgent tapas lunch in Vigo so went for the Caesar and goatâs cheese salads respectively - light, v fresh and delicious, good selection of draught beers & reasonable prices.

This restaurant has several rooms, each with its own character, all are charming. The food is creative, well prepared, and beautifully presented. We had Ventresca de Bonito and Burrata as salads, with Salmon toasts and little potatoes with a spicy sauce, apparently inspired by the Canary Islands. Service was efficient. My only complaint, which happens too frequently in Spain, was that my glass of wine was flat, probably from being opened the previous day and not properly preserved overnight.

If you're a fan of homemade cuisine and you happen to be in Ourense, you shouldn't miss this place. Wide variety of dishes, tapas and main courses, AMAZING desserts and very very friendly english speaking staff. Easily the best restaurant i've ever been in old town Ourense.
