Nice restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere. Service very friendly and helpful, good recommendations for food and drinks. Good cocktails, but not really cheap. Thank you to the amazing staff at Vue De Monde for an amazing night. We selected the Chefs Menu and selected a wine pairing package and so glad we did. I do not want to give too much away but I can tell you this is the best food that I have had in any restaurant. Every dish that came to the table was a flavour bomb and every time our plates were collected I told staff dish of the night as they were all so amazing and different. I do have to give special mention to the sweetbreads, I could eat an entire bowl of those they were amazing. The staff were all very friendly, very professional and knowledgeable about the food and drinks, more then happy to answer questions and if they did not know an answer asked chef. My previous degustation experiences at other establishments there is always at least a couple of dishes I do not like, not at Vue De Monde I loved every dish I was given, every texture..I tried foods such as oysters and sea urchin that I have not liked previously at other establishments and LOVED them at Vue De Monde. We stayed at the hotel either end of a Tasmania holiday via ferry. We ate at Windows on both occasions. The meals are not cheap but worth every penny. I had the scotch fillet steak which was cooked to perfection on both occasions. Sally had the five spice duck and the lamb shoulder. Both were great. This is a great estaurant not just for hotel guests. Service was impeccable - thank you in particular to Guillame.

Really interesting food in a small setting . A good range of small, medium and large dishes. Our favourites were fish amok; scotch fillet and the spiced cauliflower side. Very reasonably priced wine list from small wineries. Strongly recommend. Also consider the chefâs tasting menu.

Once you find this place (in Grey Street) you enter a whole new world. Away from the funkiness of many other cafes, this is a gorgeous place to come and have a meal. Today I had the waffles - OMG they were amazing. And then served a coffee that the barissta should be given a gold medal. The staff were lovely and seemed to enjoy working at Miss Jackson. However, service can be slow. Takeaway available. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Pram/stroller accessible. Parking is okay.
