This place is a newer establishment that I tend to visit very often. This definitely gets an A+ rating in my book for the quality of food they serve here. Very affordable tandoori experience here, they also serve Chinese, south and north indian cuisine.I've been to most of the tandoori place around town, the chef here is phenomenal. This is hands down one of the best and freshest, and not to forget cheapest alternatives. Great for families as well.Pros:- Make sure you try the tandoori Chicken and Naan combination (a quarter plate with one nan comes out to approx 150 INR)- Mayo is homemade and tastes fantastic, other places in town tend to add sweetners)- By far one of the cleaner and freshest tandoori establishments in town. - They have two individual family hut style sitouts (expecting to expand further).- Butter chicken is on the spicier side, not bad. - Fresh off the tandoor style food. - Courteous and respectful wait staff.- Price: $Cons:- None really.

The Shalimar restaurant on Kottayam Changanacherry road is famous for the traditional food - items like porotta & beef fry, biriyani, mutton roast etc which were the main dishes served in most of the restaurants two decades ago. Shalimar Restaurant serves the same dishes, may be in a better way and it is popular mainly because of this aspect. I have been to this restaurant while at Kottayam and few months back had food from here on the way to Trivandrum. The food was really good, especially the beef fry. The BDF was also tasty. The service was good as before and over the restaurant is best for the traditional Kerala food.

Perfect in many ways, and one of my favourites during our tours ... this restaurant is one of the best in the town and the most talked about place to dine out. Perfect location situated on the highway, good parking space, beautiful ambience within the restaurant and with an access to the bar. The menu offers a great variety, the food is really good and tasty, added with excellent service. The restaurant is a favourite for the evening be it with a live band or with the full screen display.... presently the world cup football match.... recommend that you make a reservation!!.

The K R Bakes keeps a standard recipe for all items served in their chain of restaurants in Kerala and Tamilnadu. They serve good Non-veg dishes and I like their biriyani, chicken dishes with roti, mutton dishes etc. The restaurant on K K Road, Kottayam is spacious, with good furnishing, properly maintained and the service is excellent. We had dinner from there and the chicken tikka, chicken roast and roti were really good. They have vegetarian dishes too. Nice restaurant to dine with family.

Kottayam is finally evolving and keeping up with the big city like Kochi. This is a start. Bean Stori Cafe food is great and nice place to relax with just a coffee too with a lot of greenery around. Ideal stop over for people travelling to Kanjirapally, Mundakayam, etc.

This was our all time favourite in kottayam but now a days it's packed, busy, but not many tables and staff...food quality too have deteriorated... In the past every thing on the menu was different to what you get now a days...I think they are handling too many people then they can..

I love this place. Amazing food and great ambience. Out of the world service. I visited KoCo a few times with my friends and many times with my kids and family.Authentic food with nuanced experiments I love their take of Biriyani in banana leaf.You must absolutely try their Beef Bae, Kunzhi Kozhi with rice and almost all of the desserts. My favorite is Bannoffee.I have been to many places around the world but by far this is my favorite.Tip: one of the owners of this place is always there. If you can find him (ask for Hishad) ask him to do some house specials. You will be pleasantly surprised.

I loved the ambience of this place. And really appreciate a place like this opening up in Kottayam.The drinks menu looked quite good and the cocktails were not bad. However the food menu seem very limited andnothing really had that 'wow' factor.The service was the real let down, we had to remind the boys multiple times about our order as they kept on missing something from the order.The price was not something go well with the idea of a 'Bistro Bar'as it was on the higher side. But we wouldn't have mind the price if the service and food matched up with it.This place can be a great place, if they can work on the food menu and horning their service skills.

Had lunch here two days in a row, and bot the times the food was very tasty. They have a non veg section and a veg section. Tried both and was very impressed. Service i also warm, but what mattered was the food. Everything was very tasty. Comes with a lot of parking space and right on the road side.
