Empire, in my opinion, is the most consistent and good quality Chinese take away food in Hertford. The dishes taste fresh, well made and cost a lot less than some of the other local establishments. The only minor annoyance is that they don't deliver, as this would really make ordering food from them a whole lot easier, but I understand that they have a good business model that is working for them.
Good value, typical fayre traditional Chinese takeaway. In its present management and menu for many years this good quality takeaway continues to offer good value for money and quality, the pancake rolls are the best! I
What a joke. The site and its menu says it opens at 5pm. I was calling from 5pm all I got someone picking up the phone and putting it down. Eventually I got so annoyed I called just eat to complain about this company.I called back to speak to the manager of from China and the person was very confrontational and rude. This type of lack of customer service is not acceptable. I urge people who have had the same bad experience as I have had to post a review.

It is the first time we have had a Chinese take away for years. As our Chinese restaurant China Red has closed we thought we try a take away. I had chicken with ginger and spring onion . Okay but loads of food! My husband had king prawns with tomatoes which he said was good but again loads of it. What was very nice was the omelette with mushrooms. Tasted great. The portions are enormous and I really only ate three quarters of it. We would go back but not on a Saturday night. They had 4 chefs working flat out.
