As we were dining on a Sunday night the whole town was crowded and the restaurant was no different. We managed to get a table where we had bratwurst sausages with sauerkraut and grilled fish, washed down with a local Riesling. We walked back to the hotel through the beer garden alongside the river, which was quite attractive and I expect would be very busy in summer.

We had dinner at the Weinstuben Juliusspital and enjoyed the food, the wine and the setting. We chose to sit inside on a cool night, although a very pleasant outside verandah is also available. The service was efficient and helpful. An English language menu was provided. There is a good range of dishes available. We skipped the entree and went straight to the main. My wife had an excellent wiener schnitzel, and I had a delicious bratwurst with sauerkraut. Both meals served in good sized portions.There is no beer served - only wine. Our Rose (served by the glass) was very good.Costs are quite moderate. Mains around $20 Euro Would be happy to return.

This is an old hospital changed into a restaurant. It is welcoming. Donât let the small entrance fool you there is plenty of room. The food was average for the price but still very tasty. It was a good place to eat but most likely a place I will have forgotten in a year or so.

Had the wurst and pommes frites and sure wasn't disappointed. Great service from a nice waitress even though the place was very busy. Food came out pretty quick and was excellent. Always try the local wurst specialties as we travel thru Germany. Would go back again and don't hesitate in recommending the place for a good meal

Very busy place and booking is strongly recommended - though if 8pm or later is ok then you shouldn't have too much trouble. Entering through a huge heavy door is dramatic and the sight that greets you is wunderbar. Cosy, noisy, bustle, great lighting, interesting spaces - it's impressive. Walk across the first space and up a few steps to find the maitre d who was very efficient with the enormous reservations list - alles in ordnung hier!Good food, very reasonably priced and mostly locals enjoying themselves. We did a group event with 15 people and had excellent and patient service. Food was great also, creative, locally sourced and delicious. Allergy requests were handled great. Only minus point was that the breaks between courses in the five course menu were a bit long, but a very minor point. Can fully recommend as well for the gorgeous view.

We stayed here for two nights and had dinner in the garden restaurant the first night.The weather was perfect and it was very busy, also a saturday night.We had some lovely food, we took their steak, argentinian beef and it was really nice.We took salad as a side dish, as it was really niceThe steak cooked to perfection, and we had a lovely bottle of red wine, Dormina to go with it, a nice choice.Staff very friendly.We would definitely come back and eat here again.

I am still dreaming of the wine soup and can't wait to return to Wurzburg to have it again! This place was worth the wait - we arrived without a reservation and had to return a half hour late. The staff were very pleasant the ambiance was wonderful in this old historic building. Great selection of local wines as well.

Simply a great restaurant with star potential. Creative, Gourmet, great winecard and perfect service. Definitively worth while to visit even take a big de-tour to visit. Furthermore Veitshöchheim is a perfect small city for taking a walk before or after the dinner. My absolutely best recommendations !

This small restaurant feels like entering a different dimension and time, quirky and arty, they don't have a printed list, but a passionate and competent friendly guy who speaks good english, guiding you through the dishes of the day and recommending wines to suit your taste and the choice of food you made.
