Ate here twice with family. Food is very good and exceptionally well priced. Service is at a good pace and allows to watch the world go by via the beach or sun go down over a few drinks etc. The patacones and the cassada with fish are exceptionally good.

A bit pricier than comparable dining in the area, but still reasonable. The shaded beach view is easily worth the premium. Large assortment of local and international dishes, and staff was happy to modify as requested.

The food here is good and not expensive. Customer service is good and the cooks are locals. You can find here dishes like omeletts, gallo Pinto (Local typical breakfast) and more! We suggest it for breakfast a lot!

My husband and i came her a few nights ago. The service is always good here and the owner is the chef. Food is always good and well presented. I had the Mahi Mahi special with shrimp and white wine sauce. My husband had the surf and turf and there were no complaints there, the steak was done as requested.. We had a wine and beer with the meal but no room for dessert. Staff are very friendly and we always have a meal here when we are in the area.

I read the great reviews of this place so we went here our second night in the area. There are many beautiful sunset views in the area, including this one. I gave this 3 because the view is beautiful. We ordered food and they were missing some of the ingredients. Instead of telling me, they made it without the ingredients. When I asked for them to be replaced (as the dish is sitting I front of me), they wanted to up-charge me. I know this seems small, but sometimes you really have a craving, and if the principal ingredients are missing, the food is not the same. All in all, fine drinks and food, but nothing too special. Id suggest looking around a bit before deciding on having dinner here.

This place ended up being our go to spot. The staff are amazingly nice. To add to the wonderful employees, there is a mix of local regulars that are willing to chat and give you tips on your stay. But the food!!! A nice varity of food done with quality.

This is my first TripAdvisor review ever which says a lot about the calibre of food and service you'll get at El Castillo's. My husband and I visited twice for dinner during our stay in Costa Rica. There are many great places to dine in the area but El Castillo's food was so delicious and thoughtfully crafted that we visited twice, despite our general rule to never visit the same place twice. The first time we visited I ordered the mushroom burger that had a beautiful port sauce and my husband ordered the Timmy sandwich. Both were delicious. Tonight we went for the rib dinner -- a Friday special -- and it was out of this world. We were stuffed but couldn't refuse an order of the Snickers cheesecake that was just sublime and I'm not someone who has a sweet tooth. Everything is homemade and delicious. The owner and staff are attentive and the food is out of this world. Do yourself a favor and visit El Castillo.. you will not regret it!

We stayed at Casa Chameleon and enjoyed nearly every meal here because it was so delicious! From pancakes at breakfast to ceviche at lunch to the fish of day at dinner, I could go on and on about how delicious everything was. Servers are speedy and friendly and the view is spectacular. Given the one of a kind views, the prices are fairly reasonable for the quality of food (locally sourced too). Wednesday Asado Night ($65pp) was a one of a kind experience that I highly recommend as you get to try many traditional Costa Rican dishes that are prepared bbq style. I wish I could eat food from here every night it is really that good. It was an honor to show you some of Costa Rica's finest produce, thank you for trusting us!!

Being from Ft Lauderdale where we have some great restaurants & lots of great burger places, this was one of the best burgers I have ever had anywhere! Flavorful, moist, thick, on great bread. My wife had the steak sandwich & the meat was tender, plentiful & very tasty. The owner was very chill & friendly & answered all of our questions about the food & his background of how he came to Costa Rica (we like to know peopleâs back stories!). We own a condo 2 minutes away & like to be able to inform our rental tenants about the local restaurants available. Itâs a must if youâre in beautiful Playas del Coco. Thank you very much. It was our pleasure to have you at Che Sirloin. Getting to know our neighbors and the entire community is one of the main reasons behind Che Sirloin and we are very happy when we get a chance to chat and get to know our patrons.
