Situated in the shopping centre at Salt near Girona, Andreu is primarily a delicatessen but with a dine-in counter. They serve a selection of tapas, toasted ciabata sandwiches, baguettes and salads. Everything is prepared fresh and the result is delicious "light bites". Plates of thinly carved Iberian ham, smoked salmon and "rosettes" of delicious cheese make a great snack with some tomato smeared bread (pan tomat). You can also have wine, beer, soft drinks and coffee. The house red and white are both very pleasant indeed. Try to leave room for one of their desserts - the cheesecake with raspberry jus is just wonderful. At â¬10 - â¬15 a head (including a glass of wine, coffee and dessert) it is not cheap for a snack, but absolutely worth it.Thanks a lot for your comment.We are so grateful and glad you enjoyed our products and we hope see you again.

Came across this little gem whilst wandering around the old town. Looked quirky and inviting and it was lovely to sit by the open window and watch the fish in the river. I struggle with gluten intolerance, so finding food I can eat can be difficult. Although there was no gluten free bread, the accommodating manager cooked something delicious to eat - which was a sandwich filling but without bread! ( he did have a gluten free orange cake but I was too full to eat a piece!) Had a peaceful and pleasant lunch in wonderful surroundings. Well worth a visit and reasonably priced.

Amazing food, super tasty and very fair priced. Super fresh ingredients. Had the Popeye Salad with grilled Goats Cheese, Bacon and spinach and added some Avocado. The staff was amazingly friendly and I could even park my bike on the side. I will definitely come back.

On our last night in Spain, we were looking for a light dinner and came upon Context. We chose to sit inside as we do not like to be around smokers, and inside dining does not allow it. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, beginning with the best Sangria! (will they share the recipe?). As we wanted some traditional food, my husband started with gazpacho, which was creatively presented and delicious, consistent with other gazpachos we had eaten. We also enjoyed an order of the tomato bread. We each ordered a different salad, and they were perfect! My husband's included warm goat cheese and crispy ham. Both salads were a generous portion, and delicious. This is indeed a quirky restaurant in décor, but deserves a solid recommendation. Thank you for ending our trip to Spain on a very high note!Thank you so much for your friendly review, we are very glad that you enjoyed our drinks and food!

We cycled to La Fabrica this time around. It still has great coffee and pastries and beautiful bicycles standing outside. Still in the beautiful old city of Girona with its wonderful character. We didnt see any famous pro cyclists.Its still brilliant three years after we first went.

Chose this bistro from reviews and emphasis on fresh ingredients, with good vegetarian options. Arrived without a reservation, at a busy lunchtime. The limited number of street tables were occupied, so we had an aperitif inside, and were then taken to an outside table after only about 10 minutes. Food excellent, and good value.Will go again, next time in Girona - i.e. next week.Thank you for you opinion! We hope to see you again.
