Loved the down home feel. The food was ok. Our group thought the fish and chips were the best. They did not have the salad doing ate leek and potato soup which was made better by the huge dinner roll that came with it. You’ll need 45 minutes for a non rushed meal as they are a wee bit slow.

Dined here with my parents and family, 6 of us, planned on having lunch. A few people in when we arrived but not overly busy. My Mum asked if she could put 2 tables together to accommodate us all, only to be told by the owner “do what you want”, charming!Got served quite quickly, coffees arrived then it went down hill. Waited an hour on our food, we hadn’t ordered anything out the ordinary, just filled rolls. After waiting 45 minutes I went to the desk to ask how much longer we had to wait and was told it was just coming; people that came in after us were served food before us; another 15 minutes later and we eventually got our food but one order was wrong so it got sent back. No apology, no offer of more coffees. Haven’t been back and won’t go back. Shame as the food was good but as a customer, don’t expect to be spoken to in such a rude manner.

This 'restaurant' was a silly excuse of a restaurant. It was dirty, clearly not brushed since the night before and inadequate They were out of eggs and croissants, both of which were on the menu. Along with serving each meal at different times rather than all together and more efficiently. Also I asked for a white hot chocolate (which was also on the menu) but then received normal milk/dark hot chocolate. Shocking experience and a sad start to a great holiday in Skye. Do not visit this place, was also ran by children.

We stopped in for lunch and a bite to eat in this dog friendly community run cafe. Our dog was made a fuss of and given treats and water. We had the all day breakfast which was massive and well cooked. This was followed by an amazing cake which we found out was home made by Kerry. All delicious and we didn’t need to eat anything else for the rest of the day. Prices very reasonable and coffee was great too. We will be back and thanks goes to Colon and Kerry for the great service they are providing to the community and visitors alike. Well done.

The Arrochar Tea Room

Arrochar Tearoom is a small tearoom in the village of Arrochar that opened its doors again in September 2011. The building has served as a tearoom as far back as 1940s I believe it has changed names a few times but always traded as a tearoom. Parking is b

While on a short holiday in Scotland came upon these tea rooms, as we entered we were greeted by a gentleman I now belive is the owner Michael. It was a very warm and welcoming one, once we had asked him about his menu we decided on the large breakfast, well it was a plate of quality and quantity. The food was really tasty and was presented not just thrown on the plate. As we left we asked for some choc chip shortbread which we ate later, again the quality was there. I would recommend this establishment to anyone going within a few miles of Arrochar. Thank you Michael.

Stopped for tea and scone while travelling north. Tearoom was quite busy so we sat outside in the sunshine. Service was quick despite the numbers of customers.Food was excellent although the scone was so fresh it fell to bits when spread with butter. Good pot of tea too. Will try again when it is less busy and sample a greater variety of food. I would recommend anyone to give it a try.
