This was our first visit to the Panera Bread. We were pleasantly surprised not only with the food but also with all the conveniences of ordering. You can order online, at a soon coming kiosk for fast service or the old-fashioned way -- at the counter. This location is set up perfectly. There are even bins for folks to come in and pick up their to-go or orders before arrival. Everything is clean and super neat.I ordered the steak and arugula sandwich and was so impressed with the fresh meat. It was a perfect sandwich. Along with it I had the summer corn chowder. It was good but have to admit I've had better.I'm sure we'll be visiting this place again.

We had driven by this place but had not stopped until today. What a mistake to drive or maybe it was a mistake to stop because I ended up with so much stuff. I know it won't all fit in my freezer and we can't eat it in a couple days. This place is amazing. Most of the items are fresh, very fresh but they also have a clearance end with day old breads. Now those felt almost as fresh as the daily bread. What do that have? Or, maybe I should say, what don't they carry. There are many varieties of breads, cookies, buns, desserts, muffins and bagels. Prices are ridiculously cheap. Once you spend $10 you get a free item. I spent under $20 and got 3 free items!Love this place!

I arrived in town early for a lunch meeting and needed a quick cup of coffee. So I found Cassava and gave it a go. The atmosphere is inviting and up-to-date, and the seating is well arranged and generous. My barista was readily available, engaging, knowledgeable, and happy to serve me even though I only ordered the brewed coffee. And, of course, the coffee more than held its own. And, even more happily, their Wifi was speedy. If you're in the historic downtown area of Longview, you won't regret it if you decide to stop in here for a cuppa joe!

Had their country scramble for breakfast not only was it tasty but plenty of food. I took half home. The place isn't fancy but it's clean and service was excellent. The inside is nicer than the outside so don't let that discourage you. Will definitely go back for breakfast.

Grounds for Opportunity

Reviewed By BEERDAMAGE

Grounds for opportunity is a training school restaurant operated by C.A.P., community action program. Here people have the opportunity to learn the restaurant trade from janitorial to cook. It has also become a place where people and groups meet, conduct business and share a meal. It is located in down town Kelso so it is conveniently located. The atmosphere is pleasant and easy going and the food is surprisingly good and they serve plenty of it. My wife and I ate there yesterday for the second time. We walked in to find a Bible study group, a group of officers from two cities having a meeting, and a few friends and relatives. The best recommendation I can give for Grounds for opportunity is that THE LOCALS EAT HERE. That speaks volumes about a restaurant. I ordered the breakfast scramble mix. Hashbrowns and vegetables topped with chives and shredded melted cheese. I chose sausage gravy on the side. The plate came and it was very hot and the food was heaped on the plate. It was also very good and for under $5 it was also a bargain. The atmosphere is early restaurant somewhat leaning toward cafeteria. At this time there are no booths, simply table and chairs which is just fine. The reason that I gave a four star instead of five is that this is a training business and the staff and crew are of course learning. The food came rather quickly but the waitresses were a little flustered, when we found out it was their first day. That said the service was on the whole, quite slow. Tuesdays at the noon hour is senior day. That is when we first ate there, that experience prompted us to eat here again. Senior day has senior prices and supposedly senior portions which are still quite generous. I ate untiI I was unconfortable, there was that much on my plate. Wifey could only get halfway through so naturally we had a people box which we enjoyed for dinner later that evening. The bottom line is, this is a pleasant place to eat with a home town atmospher. Good prices and healthy portions of good food. Of course we will eat here again, it is on our list.
