While doing our countryside walk with friends, we stopped by Odd John's Kitchen for coffee and something to eat, staff were cheerful and polite, sat outside to enjoy the sunshine. The scones were large, would have preferred to be asked whether I want the scone warmed, served with butter and jam, plus the cappuccino was good.Would recommend.

We were stopping in Leicester en route home, and needed a late lunch stop. Gillyâs came out well in the reviews, which prompted us to find it. First good point - easy parking, right outside, as it isnât city centre. Second good point - friendly staff, who went out of their way to accommodate us, even though it was almost closing time. Other points in its favour - Itâs a spotlessly clean, simply furnished café, and the food was freshly prepared, delicious and well-priced. For a tasty breakfast or simple lunch/ coffee and cake, itâs perfect, and I hope we have the excuse to go back.

Nice friendly cafe in town centre which is undergoing a refurbishment and will then be called cafe ambience. Always good service and nice fresh food! Worth a look!

Try not to visit too often as cakes are sooo tempting and canât resist! Had a lovely fresh scone and friend had the yummy cheesecake. Drinks good and savoury stuff tasty too!! Wow, what a little find within the country, well signposted. Lovely reception from the girl who served us. Carrot and corriander soup was lovely and hot, fresh made, with fresh brown bread. Cheese scone was warmed to a tee, all served outside in the lovely grounds.Attached to this is a craft shop selling local items, as well as plants for your garden, lots of lovely little places to sit inside too. Price wise, reasonable for the service you are getting. You can call and arrange a high tea as a special treat too. Please come and use this, its lovely

We have passed this many times travelling to see our grandchildren but not sampled the food. This weekend we are staying at the Travelodge in Markfield so decided to pop along (3 mins walk) for breakfast, I had poached eggs on toast, hubby had a huge cob filled with bacon, tea and coffee and it came to less than £7!!!!!. It was very busy and the phone constantly ringing with orders, all food freshly cooked to order, they do 4 sizes of full English plus the usual snacks, light bites, cons etc. This is a brilliant little place that looks so small on the outside. Donât drive past if you see it, go in for a bite to eat, you wonât be disappointed

Great project that helps special needs people take part in worthwhile activities and provides a good service in the cafe bookshop and charity shop. I wasnât honestly tempted by the food but the setting is stunning !
