We went to Homespun Foods for a late afternoon meal after visiting Dia:Beacon. I had an excellent Greek salad (although it could have used more Feta cheese) and my husband had an enormous tuna salad sandwich, also excellent. Nice portion sizes and reasonable prices. It was a beautiful day, so we enjoyed eating in the courtyard behind the cafe.

In dining the first impression is visual, curb appeal as a picture is worth 1000 words. See my review of Greek City to learn how a negative first impression turned positive. With Sweet Pea's it is in reverse. The logo speaks volumes a peace sign with a loose font illuding to both the 60's and this wholesome earth driven dinng eperience. I was greeted promptly and shown to a table. The meal was breakfast and I ordered the standard bacon, eggs, hash browns and toast. I was asked if I wanted the house coffee or the bold coffee ... took the house should have taken the bold as the house was brown dish water .. no flavor, no aroma just dish water. So food order in I found a book of quotes and observed the decor library style. Again all supprtive of fresh, wholesome ingredients ... good food. Non-GMO all that stuff. I read the chalkboard menu already set for their lunch saw goat cheese salad. So imagine my shock and awe when my breakfast arrived with a McDonald's styled hash brown. Furthermore, when picking it up there was some residue of grease left on the plate. I must say their toast was spot on and a nice thick cut of hallah. Had I known about those hash browns I would have just ordered the toast !My expectation was good wholesome, mother earth styled food ... what I got was a processed frozen hash brown patty. Not my cup of tea.Thank you for taking the time to review Sweet Peas. We appreciate your feed back. We are very sorry that we did not meet your expectations or that our logo and vibe gave you the perception that we are something we are not.Our coffee is ground and brewed fresh and is provided by a local coffee roaster Noble located in Goshen, NY. It is not you typical commercial grind. Our water is filtered. If our house blend did not please your pallet we would have been happy to brew another blend or offer you another beverage.We strive to provide our customers with a pleasant environment, fresh tasty food and warm hospitality.We are glad you enjoyed the toast!

We had lunch at Fiddlestix after a visit to Stormking. Although this is a small local eatery, I thought menu and specials had obviously been designed with care. There are lots of fun choices. When the food came the amount was incredible, given the low price and the high-quality. The people watching was also fun. With the exception of us everybody seem to know everybody else. It speaks well of a restaurant when there are lots of regulars. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

Called from Texas to order treats for our cadet and cannot express just how simple the process was and how kind the workers are. Thank YOU! They took time to help me pick out what to send, they asked for a special message to write on the treat box (bonus!) and even texted me a pic of our son receiving the goodies at delivery! So thoughtful! Our cadet also sent pics of the huge cookies and brownies! He devoured the blueberry muffin before the pic as he couldn't wait to dig in. He said everything was fantastic! I cannot wait till our next WP visit so that we can stop in and thank them in person as well as grab some treats for ourselves! We will definitely continue to order treats for our son!

We stopped here for lunch recently, while in Cold Spring. We ordered a panini and a large Mediterranean salad. Both were good, although service was somewhat slow. The ambiance and decor are somewhat lacking, and the food preparation area did not look to be tremendously well-organized. On the plus side, they offer free wi-fi, which is handy.

Great standard deli with good options and a ton of original classics. Great spot for lunch with a pretty good crowed everyday. Donât be afraid to stop and try. Clean restaurant in an otherwise dingy town.

Love going here for breakfast! Everything is well done! I usually get an omelet. Friendly staff, good service, great food.... what more can one ask for? If you are in a huge rush, either tell the staff or go somewhere else... this is good food, friendly service.... not fast food....

While Rincon Argentino offers a number of items, we have only had their gelato which was very good and a treat from the ice cream offered by other local establishments.The woman who took our orders could not have been nicer and she invited to come back often; which we will probably do since we live close by.Must try some of their other offerings.

You can't go wrong when you have a choice of breakfast or lunch at midday, and Hudson Hil's offers that. I had Beef Hash and eggs over easy, perfectly prepared (although needing a bit of hot sauce to spice up the hash); daughter enjoyed Eggs Creole, while spouse had a Reuben sandwich (huge, with lots of fresh made potato chips). The food was all quite tasty, well presented, the service was attentive, and the place absolutely charming with a small-town feel even as it clearly caters to a weekender crowd. A great midday spot in a lovely little river town. Worth a stop.
