Withypool Tea rooms are to found in the centre of this picturesque Village, opposite the local olde worlde Shop and yards from the stone Bridge that spans the River Barle. They are ideally situated, in the heart of Exmoor, as a base or destination for any
Drove through Withypool and decided to stop for a coffee and cake in this quaint little tea room. It was so lovely. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the sunshine. Coffee was really nice and cake was delicious - we went for the lemon drizzle and it was massive! Would definitely stop by again if we were in the area.

Long wait, how long does it take to cook breakfast? The owners obviously do not put customer service high on the list of priorities. Just another tourist passing through!!. It was not busy. 45 minutes to cook breakfast, we had finished our coffee. I like my coffee with my food11

A warm welcome awaits you at the Toucan, a cosy Cafe with a true sense of tradition. We work hard to offer a selection of homemade food and snacks, incorporating local produce where we can so that you get a true flavour of our beautiful surrounding countr
A beautifully clean restaurant with first class staff/owners.I had the Full English Breakfast, all freshly cooked (no stewed beans here) and very filling, so filling in fact I skipped lunch.Best breakfast Iâve had for a while, certainly a 5 star breakfast.

We felt ripped off - the sandwiches were wafer thin and the ham and mustard sandwich even came without the mustard. The bread was thinly sliced and was the ham and came with a very small side salad and orange slice. We mentioned that we were disappointed with the value for money but that did not make any difference to the the very average customer service, we came away thinking they were doing us a favour. We will bring our own next time - a real shame as this could relay do well here! The business model being adopted is not one of delivery good value for money - more like what can we get away with.

Pleasant decor with interesting pictures and paintings, and quirky giant teacups set the scene for this high street tea shop. The staff were warm and welcoming (despite a behind the scenes disagreement) and in the evening they serve some truly fantastic artisan pizzas, with the meat lovers "Carnivore" a personal favourite, especially when accompanied with a bottle or two of Exmoor Gold. The Hot Chocolate to finish was also exceptional.

We stayed in a nearby holiday cottage & after our first visit managed to eat there most days. Everything home made & really delicious. The vegetable soup served with a cheese scone was outstanding. Lovely setting, friendly owners & staff & plenty of beautiful & tempting gifts & crafts to browse while waiting.

Like the last comment...I agree , this is not a great place to visit and wonât be going back. Took ages to order, or get the attention of staff, and wasnât particularly busy, service very slow ..food ok, but served with dirty cutlery and chipped crockery which puts me off completely . Eating area is stifling , with tables crammed together, public areas looks generally tired and in need of basic maintenance..nothing that a good manager couldnât sort, itâs such a shame as it is in a good location .

We received a very warm welcome at the copper kettle, on a very wet day! Huge jacket potato lunch and our cockapoo was made very welcome too. We were able to stay for a second cuppa and could have stayed all afternoon! Delightful place.Thank you for your visit and very kind words hope to see you again
