After the tiring walk, all of 100 meters, we fancied an ice cream and found 3 parlors next to each other. Chose this one as seemed to have widest selections. The cone was far too large for the small blob of ice cream which was hidden under the whipped egg thingy. Not worth the money. Will try one of the other two next time.

Driving from Aalborg to the North Point near Skagen we diverted to this quaint town and excellent restaurant. Enjoyed the shrimp alfredo which was not the normal fare. Much less heavy cream and white sauce. All colleagues enjoyed the food and attentive service. Worth repeating.

Vi sad nede og der var det synd med den meget lidt hyggelige indretning. Vores stjerneskud var lutter gode råvarer og smagte dejligt. Tjenerne var meget unge men venlige og servicemindede. Alt i alt en god oplevelse men så heller ikke mere. Sikkert noget hyggeligere i restauranten ovenpå.

The cafe sits prominently on the old, little market place (torvet) in Løkken, an attractive beach town west of Aalborg. I was here for a little bite at lunch time and was very happy with the quick and pleasant service. There were many guests arriving and the young staff was very busy. I had one of the signature dishes: Fish tapas (picture). Very good and not expensive. What was interesting though was that after I had been served I was left alone for a very long period. I tried to attract the attention of the staff (my waitress had disappeared, maybe for her own lunch?) but to no avail. After about 45 minutes I went to ask for the bill at the counter, but I could have just left. No-one seemed to care. Good for the restaurant that most people are honest.
