Looks nice, slightly put off by very strongly scented plug in aroma and had to move table.Baked potato looked microwaved rather than baked, but a good portion with salad and coleslaw. Home baking looked delicious and staff were friendly.Ah sorry about the plug in â¹ï¸ Unfortunately it would take quite a long time to oven cook a jacket so they are done in our convection oven. Thank you for commenting on our baked goods we do get up very early every morning to get those done. Our staff are wonderful. Thank you for taking the to comment

We stopped here for lunch after taking a ride on the South Tynedale Railway. The food was freshly cooked, and was both delicious and good value. The menu also offered more than enough variety for our party.Probably the best testament to how great this cafe is is that it's not only used by the railway passengers, with people coming specifically for the cafe whilst we were there.Very pleased to read that you enjoyed your food, the Crossing Cafe is becoming known as a great place to eat and we are seeing lots of familiar faces as the season progresses, hope that you will come and see us again.

Went here or lunch one day and returned for cream tea the next . People already eating when we arrived were recommending their choice off the menu .All of the food chosen was delicious !! Friendly chatty waitress who remembered us the second time .
