Popped in here around 1.30pm to see if we could get some lunch. The next serving was at 2.30pm so we decided to wait. The bar area is warm and welcoming and the staff were friendly. We were taken to our table on time for the carvery lunch. It's a very small restaurant but nice and clean and comfy. The food was fine, it was freshly cooked and nice and hot.I think it was £14.95 per person - it was Christmas lunch rather than regular Sunday lunch - which was pretty good value.I'd visit again.

Had scampi asked if it was whole tail which the young lady didn’t know and had to check quite a delay for food to arrive. Had to ask for sauces as none on the table food mediocre chips on the cool side far far too much salad garnish especially on the chees burger on both roll and side of plate. Really don’t think we would both again for the price

We called in by chance on a Saturday lunchtime. Went for chicken and salmon salads. The salads were rather crisp and tasteless and the potato slices were on the chilly side. However good coffee and over 60s get a reduction of 20% on the food element. I have to say that the place looks recently decorated and has a conservatory and outside eating area. We were made to feel welcome and probably would go back.

Tables were clean and they had a good choice of food to order. We did take a 2nd trip a few days later but they must’ve closed early as it said 3 and we arrived before then. All in all a nice cafe!Hi Karen,Thank you for taking the time to review Oasis Cafe. We are glad you enjoyed your visit. In rare circumstances we close a little earlier. However not usually before 3pm unless of course it was a Wednesday in which case we are closed all day. After hopping off the little train we looked for a nice lunch somewhere. Always tricky when we’ve got our little dog with us. And we didn’t want chips! Well, what a gem we found. Mary’s Tea Room is beautiful. The decor is so pretty. Love the tea cups hanging from the chandelier. And they allowed pup to come in. (He is very tiny and very good)We had a really nice lunch. The menu is simple but it is more than adequate. The girls serving were very polite. Wish we had one like this closer to home.

Pop in to plough inn on Sunday evening for family dinner , my steak pudding was nice but my wife had chicken and ham hock pie which was below par ! , my daughter had basil pasta which again was below wot we expected ! , first pint of fullers ale not great ☹️I am confused firstly pesto pasta can be nothing other than what it says pasta and pesto sauce a simple dish so I am unsure what you were expecting but apologize if you did not enjoy , your pie is one of our best sellers so again I am bemused as to why you would say nothing at the time but instead wait and post a negative review on this forum and finally your pint of Fuller’s we have only tried the fullers Oliver’s island for the first time this week it is clearly not to your taste but I have sold the entire barrel so proof is in the pudding so to speak I am the first to raise my hands if something is genuinely wrong but misconception of what a dish is is not grounds for a negative review but I do thank you for taking the time to write your review but I would rather you had said something at the time and then I could have dealt with it accordingly. Went for the first time Saturday night. Very old pub in small village. There is a snooker table right by the bar which had a noisy crowd although not the fault of the pub. Three tables ordering food but still waited three quarters of an hour before our order was taken and onother hour before it actually arrived. The food when we eventually got it was very good. All veg was fresh and pies looked home made. The meals are extremely large though so wouldn’t advise having a starter. Unfortunately nobody came back to ask if we wanted desserts or coffees until we prompted them. On saying that, staff were friendly when you finally got to see them.

Really relaxing & lovely helpful staff. My chicken & halloumi salada was gorgeous & very good value for money, wine was chilled & great too.Importantly they ate a dog friendly place at front of house aa I didn't even notice a adorable pet a couple of tables away. In fact so good took a baguette home for the hubby. Highly recommend.Hey thanks very much !

Spur of the min decision to go for Sunday lunch. Booked a table as heard it's always busy. Had a lovely roast beef dinner, meat was so tender to melted in your mouth. Hubbie had the steak and stilton pie which was massive, too much even for him to finish. Well worth a visit, we'll definitely come again

We can honestly say the best tearooms we have found in Kent no exaggeration! All staff were really friendly and efficient even though it is a really busy popular place. We sat in the pretty courtyard garden and had a vintage afternoon tea. Real loose leaf tea, lovely vintage China and cutlery, exceptional scones, clotted cream and jam home made cake and sandwiches. We were offered more hot water to top up the tea and could have stayed as long as we wanted to as no rush to move us on even though the table could have been used. We will return!
