We have been to Rusty Star many times and have never been disappointed. Always have ribs and tater salad and it's always good. We also enjoy the brisket and plan on going again this week.Lot's of BBQ choices in and around Waco. This place is hard to beat! Oh yeah, sandwich's are good too!

Uncle Dan and his family have been smoking briskets and other meats for decades. The smoked brisket with the pink ring is the quintessential essence of Texas BBQ. This food is so popular, people have it shipped in for special occasions. Even the King and Queen of Sweden haved dined on this popular local fare. I love both types of potato salads and of course the Texas Tator is always a favorite of many. It is worth the trip to Valley Mills and Lake Air drive to have this special tangy BBQ meal.

This was a quick stop, but well worth it. The service was quick, the restaurant was loaded with people, but plenty of seating. The Bbq was great as was the potato salad and banana pudding. For those who love great barbecue, this is a great stop to sample it at its finest.

My husband loves this Place. The ribs, brisket, turkey are wonderful. He loves the sauce they make. They have the best dill potatoes salad. They also carry a homemade greek dessing that is to die for. It's a reciepe from a greek restraunt that was hear a long time ago. The Owners wife makes it and Dan is kind enough to continue to cell it at his restraunt,
