Been more than five years and several owners since we've been back to this eating place. We shouldn't have waited. I had the full rack of ribs and they were juicy and very tender - fall off the bone tender.Service was good. This place gets really busy. Must be other people agree.You need to go if you haven't been.

Greeting was warm, enthusiastic and friendly. However, what followed was merely lukewarm. Meat was not much beyond room temperature. Flavor was not much beyond bland. Waffle fries were O.K. Beans had some BBQ flavor. Ice cream cones sat uncovered at a self-serve dispenser where anyone or anything could contaminate.When asked asked about the food, an honest answer regarding how disappointing it tasted was offered. One worker who does some of the smoking said that the lack of smoke flavor may be due in part to different individuals who oversee the process.It was suggested that those in charge visit Artman's Smokehouse to experience savory BBQ foods.

Arrived here for an early dinner(4pm) with 2 friends and we were seated immediatelySharniece was a super server!My friends recommended the baby back ribs, so I ordered a half rack which was served with two sides and garlic toast ($11.99). OMG - the lima beans were really very good! A nice change! Half rack was plenty!Thanks much! Looks like you love Texas or are from Texas. I grew up in Vernon (50 miles west of Wichita Falls). Iâll pat Sharnice on the back and Iâll let Chef Sammy know that you love his Lima beans. Heâs been making them for Oakwood for 21 years.

Wide selection of bbq at reasonable price. Chicken, pork, beef sliced or pulled nicely bbq and or smoke flavor. Not overwhelming so you can sauce to your taste. Tasty sides.
