Well, I came across this carenderia while passing Molino Rd over a month ago but did not get the chance to try the "best tapa" as quoted by some bloggers, until tonight. The owner who are a couple only opens their store to diners late in the afternoon around 5 PM. I ordered TapSi of course to feed my curiosity. It was tender and not dry but I cannot say it is super delicious. For me, it's just okay. What I like though is the "sinangag", or fried rice. The taste is not overpowering the tapa. It was so simple and it seems to me that the rice is not from yesterday's pot, I mean it was not dry, does not have a garlicky taste and it's definitely NOT NFA rice. I hope you know what I mean coz some carenderias serve those. I also tried their BBQ (at P20 each), again it was so tender, fragrant and not dry. It's a little salty for me though - I used the vinegar sauce to reduce the saltiness. What I love about it, was seeing these 2 old couples manned on their own the carenderia. It was a happy sight for me.

As Kiwa is a Korean chain restaurant the expectation was quite high in terms of getting an authentic Korean BBQ experience. And the restaurant did not disappoint. The quality of meat is very good, same applies to the condiments. Although not busy the service was a bit slow, much slower to service in Korea where food is served very fast. So that is an area of improvement for sure. Otherwise the restaurant has a nice setting, service staff is friendly, and the price is reasonable.

Goryeo is an authentic Korean Barbecue restaurant serving the best quality meats with a large selection of âBanchanâ or traditional small appetizers. Guests may choose to cook their orders at the table or in the kitchen.
