I had this meal 2 months ago and I can still taste how good it was. I think its only open for dinner. Stayed a week in huaraz and ate here 3 times. Chicken just kept getting better and better. So juicy! So local! Owner is a delight. We ordered take-away from La Brasa Roja on 2 occasions during our recent trip to Huaraz. As we were travelling in a big group, it was the perfect option due to the wide range of menu items. We tasted dishes from chicken and chips to pastas to soups, and everything was pretty good. Although they don't do delivery until after 7.15pm, we were able to arrange to pick-up our order for 13 people, and were impressed by how organised they were with having it all ready on time and checking everything off the list with care. We didn't eat in, but the restaurant looked really clean.

I came for lunch and because of a little incident with my dish the host attended me personally and brought me a new one specially served for me. They work really hard to make customers not only satisfied but completely happy of been here. El Fogón is lucky to have an employee like Ms. Berenice Lázaro.

We went here for lunch, which was a good deal at 12-15 soles per person. My husband ordered the chicken soup and beef ribs and I had the vegetarian plate. The vegetarian plate was fantastic. His soup and scary chicken and the ribs were just okay. It is definitely a good deal for the amount of food you get.
