This restaurant was recommended by our Turkish driver who collected us at the airport. It is on Street Weidengasse. This street is dominated with Turkish restaurants, cafes, Jewellers and Turkish barbers. My husband had a Turkish shave for the sum of 8 Euro. He said it was amazing and better than one he had in Turkey a few years ago.Back to restaurant. Our food was mixed, My doner Kebab very good, My husband's doner was cold. It was changed without any fuss. We could not do our meals justice as we had had large lunches. Another restaurant recommended to us on this street is DOY DOY.

We went to the restaurant to try the empanadas, but were we surprised. The salad, the soup, the shrimps and of course the empanadas were amazingly delicious. However the surprise was the steak, it tasted like butter, it made me wonder what have we been eating all of those years. After eating there i'm not sure i would be able to eat another steak! The host/waiter was kind, witty and had a great sense of humor. If you have just one day in Cologne, i would suggest eating there.

We had the most wonderful food and wine at this restaurant. It doesn't look anything special from the inside, however once you venture into the restaurant itself you'll be treated to a fantastic choice of food and wine. If we ever return to Dusseldorf, we will most certainly returning to El Lazo. Please do try it if you like good quality steak and a nice choice of wine.

This restaurant is always crowded, and it takes at least 10-15 minutes to place your order.But now I know why: the food is absolutely incredibly tasty. Everything is fresh, prepared on the spot, and grilled to perfection.Totally worth the wait.The menu has many options to choose from, and the prices are very reasonable.

Excellent service with friendly, attentive and polite staff.Lovely ambience The of the meal was delicious. However, the bread served was disappointing, but the chimichurri was super. The empanada's were very well done. We ordered the rump steak, a sirloin and a rib-eye and the steaks were all delicious. The spinach was lovely and different fries were full of flavour and tasty. El Tarascon is highly recommended and we will return. Thank you for a wonderful meal, my children and I enjoyed ourselves.

Five of us ate here on a Friday night, (It is only small and bookings are essential). All of us enjoyed our steaks. I had the Brochet which is 4 cuts of the finest steak and it was well worth the 36 euros. We didn't find this final bill that expensive compared to other places we ate in Dusseldorf, so do feel this quality restaurant is value for money.

I enjoyed eating at this restaurant. The meal comprises of an eat as much as you like buffet of cold starters and side dishes (including salads and sushi) and various meats and large shrimps that you cook yourself on a barbeque in the middle of your table. Desserts are limited to three choices of ice cream.Recommended for about â¬35 a head for the bbq and two beers.
