We stopped at this hotel on our way to Canberra recently. We found the barman to be a dull type who showed little interest or friendliness as he took our orders and money, We both ordered rissoles with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The meal was a good size serving and the vegetables were fine but the rissoles were average in flavour and the mash was not very appealing. The good thing was that the meals only cost $15.50 each so they were reasonably priced. Overall an average experience.

Stopped for lunch on Easter Sunday and what great meals we received. The restaurant was quite busy and our meals arrived at our table quickly. The servings were plentiful and well presented and tasted great. All staff were very friendly and pleasant. Looking at returning soon for the” boys” to do the Tomahawk Challenge. We only had the burgers but these were exceptional and there was little left over. For a country town, the service, quality and pricing were extremely good.Would not hesitate to recommend this place when ever it is opened and for any meal.

Over a three day period had lunch here twice. Highly recommended. First up I had the caesar salad. It was one of the tastiest I've had in ages. Just the right amount of dressing. Next time I had rump steak with diane sauce. The steak was delicious. Cooked perfectly. Amenities super clean. Friendly staff and great service. Will definitely be back next time I visit Wagga

Nice meal, great service and atmosphere. I had the Sporties Royale burger tower which was very filling. Bacon, cheese meat all yum. The only thing I would say is that the designated smoking area should be a little more out the open area outside. We Went to sit with the kids in the covered outdoor area and had to move inside due to smokers. Kids also have to walk through to get to the playground. We will defiantly go back for more. Thanks for a great meal.

This has got to be of the best pubs we have eaten at in quite a while. The hot rocks scotch fillet was delicious. Have had a few of these at other places but this was probably the best. It was a very nice piece of decent sized meat. The salad and chips were terrific also. Good friendly service, reasonably priced drinks equals a must visit when in Wagga Wagga.

Got here at 745 pm in a Thursday night. It was half full. Grabbed a menu, decided then went to the counter to order food and drinks Rather abruptly told by the waitress they were sold out of steak. Ok second choice was the salmon - guess what? Sold out of salmon too. So not left with a lot of choice if you don’t like pizza. So we left and had a great Thai dinner nearby. Is there a shortage of fish and cows in this country that we don’t know about? How could a popular restaurant sell out of beef and fish by 745pmReminiscent of queuing for bread in Soviet Russia in the 1980’s?? If you’re not first in they’re gonna run out.And we thought the two staff members we spoke to we’re rude and in the wrong profession (not suited to the service industry) Hey Johnboy3bw, Can you email [email protected] so we can hear more about who you may have spoken to. In saying that, sometimes we do run out of various items - because we don't rely on food out of the freezer and base it on par levels. Regardless - apologies we couldn't get you your 1st and 2nd options. And we totally agree that Thaigga (not too far from us) is a fantastic dining option. Cheers Thirsty
