I had a hankering for a good burger and found this restaurant for lunch. The hostess took care of me right away. There was plenty of seating and the noise level was minimal so that you could carry on a normal conversation. They are famous for their burgers and cheese fries. I tried a bacon cheese burger and found it to be so tasty and juicy. They cook the burger however you want. The fresh seasoned potato french fries were soft and hot.I will be back for another great burger!

Good Union Urban BBQ

First off, the area is very nice where it is located at. Had music going on outside in that area and you could just sit and relax. Good union is cool/hip/modern place and the staff was very nice. The prices were decent but my brisket sandwich was on the small side. My wife had the ribs and they were average. I was expecting a lot and was a bit disappointed in the bbq. We have hit a lot of bbq places in TX so we have been around the block. It’s not bad but don’t expect to be talking about it afterwards. Their sodas were interesting and I liked the cola. Their bar looked nice but i did not get a chance to get a drink on this visit. Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback! Live music is always a hit here! Sorry we didn't hit the spot foodwise! Please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected] with any additional comments, I'm all ears! =)

Urban Crust

I took some out of town co-workers here for a casual dinner. It was a mostly good experience with a couple of exceptions I hope they correct. First of all, it is not a very big restaurant, despite the three levels. The first level has a typical restaurant feel, the third has a bar atmosphere, and the second I would only sit in if I had to. The second level mostly has a narrow bar to eat along a busy corridor. Service was friendly and accommodating. You sit yourself in the bar area, which makes it a great option when they are crowded, which they often are. Pizza was excellent, especially the crust. One of the pizzas we ordered was a special with Lockhart burnt ends. I love Lockhart's burnt ends so was excited to order that. It was tasty but their were so few tiny pieces of burnt ends that I felt like it was misrepresented. Otherwise the pizzas were excellent and I especially loved they did overload them with too much cheese. That allowed the crust and other ingredients to shine through. Their beer is always extra cold, which I like. One other thing I wish they would change was the odd strolling musician. It did not add anything. Tip: When the weather is nice the rooftop patio is a perfect option. Otherwise, I really like sitting in the bar. Hospitality Factor: Mixed. Front of the house was harried and unorganized. However, the wait staff in the bar was friendly, helpful and prompt. This is a great option when you are in the area.

The start with $7 for two deviled eggs cut in half was the most incredibly ridiculous thing I've seen. The chicken sandwich was packed with mayonnaise which made the bun soggy obviously to hide the fact that the chicken breast had no flavor whatsoever. The salad was a meger helping at best and was poorly seasoned and dressed. Plates were dirty when we were seated and the waiter was very unattentive. No sweet tea to be had and the meatloaf needs Ketchup. Go to JC's for a better filling meal at a affordable price that's very tasteful.

We were between meals but feeling peckish so we stopped in for some light fare. We started with the raw oysters from Massachusetts - briny and sweet, with flavorful sauces. All the appetizers were wonderful. Would especially recommend the oyster nachos and the slightly seared yellowfin tuna. The clam chowder was creamy and had lots of tender clams. Our waitress was personable and efficient and the food arrived quickly. We plan a return trip to try some of the yummy sounding entrees.

We have tried BBQ across the length and breadth of the United States, and Bone Daddy’s is, hands down, some of the best to be found anywhere. The burnt ends brisket sandwich with roadside spuds (loaded mashed potatoes coated in cheese with bacon) and skillet beans were a great highlight, the beans doused in a sauce so delicious every drop got mopped up with soft rolls (complimentary baskets of which kept coming). Visiting with a big group of friends, everyone came away pleased; even the BBQ expert visiting with us was impressed. The staff was friendly to match the great food, serving a group of 11 with separate checks with no issues and no complaint, even taking the time to bring a little sample of a recommended beer for one of our party that wasn't sure what to pick. (She enjoyed the recommendation and ended up going with it.) Prices are also very reasonable. The burnt ends sandwich with two sides was only $10, but one could have gotten a whole beer-can chicken with two sides for only $15. Prices like that would be reasonable anywhere; with this quality of food, they’re downright amazing. If you’re in the area and have the slightest liking for BBQ, this is an absolute can’t-miss.Hi Mr_and_mrs_cuddles, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us at Bone Daddy's House of Smoke. We're happy we could meet your expectations! We're glad to hear we delivered such a great experience. If there's anything further we can do for you, we are happy to help! Thank you, Brad

Tried Shady’s based on the reviews and menu choices. It was a quiet late Sunday afternoon before the Super Bowl so not very busy. However, the service was great - very friendly and prompt. Since we were trying to be fairly low-carb, we had the Slim Shady Burger Bowl and The New Pig on the Block (sans bun). Interesting twist on the salad with the ‘seared cabbage’, but quite tasty. The brisket Burgers were spot on with ‘medium’ and ‘medium well’ requests, juicy and flavorful. Overall a great meal and great service. We will definitely be back to try other menu items.

Went to meet a friend at Twisted Root Burger today. Ordered the le wagyu burger: dijon crusted Texas wagyu beef with thyme caramelized onions, topped with gruyere cheese. Very tasty. Fries were very good as well. What really stood out today was the service. The gentleman working the cash register was extremely nice. Really makes a difference. The staff working the food counter were also friendly and helpful.
