We were just sitting in the village it was a warm day. Thought we could try their happy hour. Sounded like fun. It was the drinks were great and the service is what made us stay longer.

This review is long overdue! This place has amazing food with a very comfortable atmosphere. We came here on the first night we stayed in Mammoth but was too late; they were already getting ready to close shop. The second night around we came much earlier. One of our friends knew one of the waitresses. I believe her name is Rose. She was very sweet and attentive!- Apple wood Bacon Wrapped Shrimp and Goat Cheese-Tomato Tower: Highly recommended! Very flavorful.- Homemade Lobster Ravioli on Tomato sauce: Pretty good but not so memorable- Kaese Spaetzle (Swiss Mac-N-Cheese): Another one of my favorites. Very flavorful and filling.- Wienerschnitzel & Jaegerschnitzel: Both were delicious in my opinion but if had to choose I would pick the Jaegerschnitzel for the mushroom sauce! So good.This is a must for me now whenever I'm in Mammoth!

Pizzas are good here. Meatball sandwich is good and big. Plenty of screens for sports TV. This place can get really busy so don't get there too late. Parking can be a problem. Pretty good sports bar. Good waitresses.

Our first dinner for our ski weekend was perfect. The food was fabulous and we were able to take some to go, and eat later back in our chalet! Super kid friendly and large tables to accommodate our party of 10. Quiet enough to talk and the fire places are warm and cozy. The staff friendly and helpful. Look forward to returning!

Let me first start with the positive. The service was outstanding. But unfortunately the BBQ is just bad. This has nothing to do with BBQ. We had the ribs, tri-tip, burgers and some wings. Nothing was tender. Everything was black and burned and not even warm. My beef ribs were still with aluminum foil. Here is what happens. They prepare everything in the morning (if you are lucky), bring out in the evening and just throw it on the BBQ to warm it up. Horrible. When you step up to the grill you better know what you are doing. So now I paid over $30 for my burned, cold beef ribs. The tri-tips where just cold and hard. Just skip this one. Otherwise you walk away with an over $100 check for BBW, which you would throw away at home

Each occasion I bowled was nothing short of revered. Class, cuisine and modern surroundings were a delight. New electronic system made for fun bowling. Check out bowling specials in "The Sheet." Three games were my deal and I appreciate the kind staff and supportive patrons. Have to visit while in Mammoth Lakes.Thank you for your kind words and we are delighted that you enjoyed yourself!

We went with a large party and enjoyed our dinner. Drinks were tasty, service attentive. I had the sweet tea chicken sandwich which was excellent. Canât go wrong with fried chicken and this was tasty on the brioche bun. Side salad was good. Others had salads and burgers which were delicious. Nice atmosphere and we were happy enough to go back again. Thanks for the positive review! Check out our BOGO Burger Night on Sundays or Wednesdays Locals Night next time. We were recently in Mammoth and wanted some pizza. We decided to go to another place in town to try it. It is very highly rated on TripAdvisor. The pizza was okay along with the beer selection. We moved on to the June Lake loop and wanted pizza again. We decided to drive back to Mammoth and go to John's Pizza Works, where we had been on another trip.We sure are glad we did! The salad, pizza and beer we ordered were fantastic. The antipasto salad was fresh with lots of wonderful ingredients. The vegetarian pizza was covered with fresh vegetable. The crust was outstanding as was the sauce they use. The beer selection is extensive. Something for everyone. Also, the service we received was outstanding. I can't say enough about Emily. She was very attentive without hovering, answered all of our questions and spent time asking us about our vacation. We have been to John's Pizza works once before and we thoroughly enjoyed the food however, it was so crowded that we weren't thrilled with the service. We did a TripAdvisor review regarding the experience. John actually took the time to answer our review and wanted us to return so they could WOW us. Because of his comments, we gave it another try and we sure are happy we did! John's Pizza Works is the only pizza place we will go to while in the area.We can't thank you enough for joining us again! I'm glad this time was an even better experience. We are so happy the staff at a nearby motel recommended Slocums. Other than having to wait for a table, everything was a pleasant surprise.Their French onion soup was spectacular and their pulled pork sandwich was wonderful. Courtney, our waitress, was a real pleasure. We will return and bring family.

Mammoth Lakes is known for restaurants that cater to the southern California crowd but this place has great food, drinks and service for a mid range price. Fairly varied menu of red meat, fish, vegetarian, good portions, and friendly service. Told us it would be a half hour wait, but we got a table in ten minutes. A bit small so you could wait on weekends.
