now this is a really relaxed place very casual they have excellent food and every week they have a changing menu. Always friendly people and in the summertime you can even sit outside. Not too many tables so during rush hours it might be handy to make a reservation.

Our group finished the evening with a final round of drinks at Kelder 65. A quirky and quaint basement bar on the main shopping area it town. The ambiance is cozy, our server extremely friendly and helpful, and the drinks were wonderful .... especially the SMOKY OLD FASHIONEDS. Wow! What a drink. Perhaps the best old fashioned ever that we have tasted and without a doubt the mist unique. It arrives in a self contained smoke chamber. Unbelievably cool but as important is the cocktail itself which was orange, sweet, and full of whiskey burn!Give this place a shot when in Leeuwarden...and be prepared to be blown away in smoke when you order the old fashioned!Good afternoon. A friendly bar that serves good food late, also on weekdays when many restaurants in Leeuwarden close their kitchens early. The beer selection is great and if you like whiskey, this is probably among your best option in town. The waiters are attentive and have an enjoyable, dry sense of humour. Often there is live music, sometimes they also organize a pub quiz.

This is a GREAT place. The food is super and the music selection is fab.Great atmosphere for friends or family. Especially nice in summer when there is open air seating in the rear of the restaurant.The menu is quite simple when it is given to you. Build your hamburger. You select the type of bun (5 types), which type of hamburger (6 types), which toppings (12 types), sauces (8 types) and side dishes (7 types) you would like. A custom built hamburger.The last time I was there I had the traditional bun, beef burger and fried egg. It was GREAT!! My daughter who is vegetarian had no problems with a veggie burger spiced up with all sorts of toppings and sauces. The selection of local beers is excellent.I always leave this place with a smile. I highly recommend this place!!

The lunch menu contained beaf, chicken, pork, lamb etcEven after indicating I was vegan and explained what it meant I still got a salad with cheese....Restaurant is nice on the inside and has an old school feel to it.

In the middle of town, near all the beautiful old buildings.Big terrace with heathers and a very attentive staff. The food is excellent and the choice of whines is also very nice. There is enough place, but it is wise to make a reservation, because they are a busy restaurant.
