Got in after 9PM, tired and wandered in for a snack and really enjoyed the food and the scene. The staff was professional and attentive. Food was fresh, well prepared and presented. Could not have been any better. Patrons were friendly and a lot seemed to be local. Good way to avoid going out and still get a good meal. Other customers near by had shrimp sandwich and what looked like mac and cheese and each seemed to enjoy their food. The barmaid mentioned she had been there 7 years and looked like a real pro in mixing cocktails. There was a crowd on the outside patio adjacent to the bar that seemed to very friendly.

We had the best night of our vacation here listening to music and having a relaxing dinner, in this historic building.. The food was typical pub fare plus Po'Boys. We both had sandwiches which were fine. The beer list has many local beers. Great music venue and casual place to get a bite to eat for a reasonable price. Not far from Downtown and many of the hotels.

I stopped n Labor Day at the outside bar. It was very nice views of the reservoir and had a tropical like atmosphere. Lots of friendly people and servers. The food was good and reasonably priced. I would recommend the outside bar because of the atmosphere!Hi, Norman! We really appreciate these compliments. Thank you for taking the time to let us know that you enjoyed our view, atmosphere, service, and food! Thank you, also, for recommending our tiki bar. We have recently enclosed it with a clear, vinyl, heated tent, making it comfortable for year-round use! We hope to see you back at Shaggy's very soon!

Went to hear someone music and have good ears. Was not disappointed. I had the small Mederterrian Pizza. Shrimp, pesto, artichoke, goat cheese, mozzarella and bell peppers. Absolutely delish. Would definatly order again. Service was a little slow, but it was a packed house. Was seated immediately.Music was good too. Dude had a LOT of electronics at his feet. Kinda felt sorry for the dude cuz he was trying to perform, but there was a lot of kids there. But, I did get there at 630. Great food, cool vibe, fast service, VERY sweet tea! We all (three generations) agree that our favorite was the turnip greens bites. Cheesy, filling goodness; I suspect that alone could be a meal.We enjoyed chicken Alfredo, red beans & rice, grilled chicken with havarti & veggies, gyro, and shrimp & grits. All spectacular. Way too much food.Lovely server. We hope to go back.

Time for lunch in Jackson, MS....love the inside space of this restaurant...they have a dog friendly patio, inside bar and plenty of tables inside with light coming thru the windows.. love this. So many choices on the menu that it was hard to choose, but our waiter Alex was very helpful. Love his energy and he was right - the beer battered fish was awesome, as the veggies that we ordered with it. Definitely a must on our next visit!!Hello, Thank you for the five stars! What a fun place!! Lots of families seem to gather here after church. There was a buffet as well as ordering from a menu. A live musician played from a corner stage as well as wandering through the tables of diners.Service was friendly, helpful and excellent. My family and I were looking for a place to eat in Flowood and decided to try Half shell. We were very pleased with everything. New Orleans atmosphere, cajun cooking and great service. Our waitress Dorthea was attentive and prompt. Our 2 kids loved the food the food as much as we did. We will definitely return.
