Manager was excellent, friendly and very willing to assist. Waiter was fantastic - even with the size of the group (21 people), he coped excellently and was always around when he was needed. The food was awesomely mouthwateringly fantabulous. Thank you everyone for a super experience, I will definitely come back when I am in the area again and recommend your place to everyone.

Notties Hotel and its wood-panelled pub (often with a roaring fire in cool days) is a legend and a must-visit if you are in the KZN Midlands. Food is excellent and the atmosphere relaxed. Plenty of space for kids in the gardens, and it is dog-friendly too!

tried phoning for a pizza on 13/03/2018. Phone not answered first time around. Eventually get through only to be told after checking with chefs that the kitchen was closed already- strange, I thought closing time was 9pm as I had been told many times before. In any case this has never been an issue ever before until today when the laws of physics made one complete 180 flip and a wood fired pizza oven instantly gets cold.I have always enjoyed your pizzas and support you as often as I can afford and on the rare chance I can finish work before 9pm I like to sit in front of a good series after work with one of your pizzas.Pity this will never happen again....Good Day Mr RexThank you very much for taking the time to write a review about VdeV. While it is greatly disappointing to receive a review of this nature, it certainly does provide us with much food for thought as well as the opportunity to learn from the errors made and hopefully improve on any and all future dining / take out experiences. We, here at VdeV, pride ourselves in delivering to you a premium product in a comfortable environment accompanied by efficient and friendly service. I do apologise as we were clearly not able to deliver on these promises, I certainly agree that we have to stick to hour kitchens operation hours and for this I do apologise, I will be bringing this matter up with our chef to ensure this does not happen again. Again my utmost apologies for your less than satisfactory service from us. We had an indulgent feast at Country Market. A lovely fire and interesting menu. We had the Rösti with poached eggs and leaks, a lovely Belgian beef stew and delicious cheesecake and a brownie. All recommended. Service a bit slow/ uninterested but friendly. We were the only people in the place.

The Rosetta hotel is a historical building with really old floors, doors, etc. The ambience is definitely colonial country style - dogs guarding the front door, shooting and hunting scenes on the wall, and some really good architectural watercolours. You do not come here for a gourmet fine dining experience - you stop here to slug an ice cold beer on a hot summers day and natter with friends over some solid bar fare. Not being too enthralled with your normal beef pattie-and-onions burger I tried the vegetarian option where the pattie is replaced by a giant grilled black mushroom. It was simply delicious and inspired me to have a second beer! I can really recommend this for a casual meal and drink - and my service was actually quite nippy. Will definitely revisit.
