We have been to the Chilli Bar on a number of occasions, and never been disappointed with the food and the service. As my previous review will confirm.Tonight was the polar opposite. We had a table booked for 8pm, we arrived 5 minutes early and shown to our table which was right in the middle of the restaurant.From this promising beginning we were expecting a good meal, after 20 minutes we were still sitting and waiting for a menu and someone to offer us drinks and poppadoms.We eventually asked a passing waiter for a couple of menus, he bought these over and said âIâll get someone to take your order for drinks âAfter being ignored for another 15 minutes we stood up and left, not challenged by anyone on the way out.Very disappointing Chilli BarHello Andrew Iâm sorry to learn of your disappointment at the level of service you received. This is our local Indian restaurant and it is always reliable. The waiters are friendly, there are lovely views across the fields on a summer evening and they have a brilliant choice of dishes. There are some very good deals to be had on a Monday evening. We are never disappointed.

This small restaurant which is almost next door to The Odyssey cinema has a warm welcome, with friendly and conscientious staff. I believe the front of house is run by the owner's sons who looks after the kitchen.Poppadoms are a good measure of an Indian restaurant and are fresh, non-greasy and served with no less than five accompaniments.Mains are all excellent and reasonably priced, and with the impeccable service the whole experience is fabulous.
