Stopped in Friday night whilst travelling through.Typical country pub with a great choice of meals in a clean friendly environment .The steak and schnitzel went down well along with some good wine.Includes a poker machine room and bottle shop if needed.Located near the centre of the town.

Accessibility is a little issues here but one inside it’s easy to see that there has been a recent spruce up.There is a salad and a vegetable buffet. The salad bar greens were not terribly perky unfortunatelyMenu to cater for most tastes. Two couples dining together chose cheesy garlic bread to share, a little undercooked. Two chose southern chicken, two chose fish, one grilled and one battered. While flavours and items on the plate were all good it was so terrible over cooked it was a step away from inedible. The fish was nice but let down from the relatively cool chips and there is no point putting salad on a plate when you have a salad bar, especially when that salad is uninspiring. The batter on the fish was not crunch and had an oily taste unfortunately. The tartare was a little odd and would benefit from checking the flavour combination. Unfortunately this pub falls short in the ‘where to go for a pub meal in Boredertown’ competition.

Sat outside in a lovely winters day. Great pub food and friendly service. Lovely setting outside. Would recommend and go back if in the area.
