Ok so, this is supposed to be the greatest and most authentic Pho in the area. I've never had it before so I didn't have a reference, but we met friends there who gushed over it. The avocado bubble tea was amazing. They have two vegetarian dishes: summer rolls and the Pho. It was good but I didn't really understand the fuss. My son did not like the Pho with meatballs at all. All the adults enjoyed their food. While it was fine overall, I wouldn't go back anytime soon.

I was looking for late lunch to get away from the heat of summer and found this nice place in the heart of Downtown Silver Spring in the pedestrian street near the movie theater area. I cannot say much about other dishes on the menu but I can definitely say something about "duck noodle" soup. If you like Thai noodle soups, this place might be for you. It is on the second floor of the revived "Downtown" mall. The place is big and clean with plenty of natural light.

For a Vegetarian restaurant the food was excellently prepared and serve. As a person that is a non vegetarian I really liked the food and the combination of herbs and spices made this a memorable meal with family. Highly recommend it.

Had some decent Chinese dishes - including the crispy eggplant which is particularly tasty - but would say the restaurant tries many types of food (Chinese, sushi, Thai) that limits some of the chinese variety. They tend to have the classic Chinese dishes. The sushi was mediocre. Not great/not bad.

Located at the bottom of the Bennington Apartments complex. I had the Ikko Dragon roll and Spider roll ($29.66 after taxes). One good thing was they didn't drown the rolls in sauce. However, the eel itself was a little bland and tasteless. The soft shell crab was fried okay (didn't really have the fresh fried taste). The meat wasn't as sweet as I had hoped. The portion size was fine. I was definitely full after the meal. One nice touch is that they give you a piece of watermelon and orange at the end of your meal. A lot of restaurants don't do this anymore and it was a welcomed touch.Service was excellent and they were very attentive. There are quite a few workers there for dinner service so I would expect it as so. The decor was nice and they have outside seating. They also have a minimum $10 charge for cc use.Overall the food was decent and I'd like to come back to try their sashimi. I would recommend this place.

Comfortable, medium priced hibachi grille. The usual flare for hibachi grilles with a bit extra flare. The chefs are entertaining and accommodating. The menu is as expected except the spicy entrees are spicy for real. All selections pair well with the extravagant drink menu. The Fire Dragon thing is tasty (you only need one and it easily serves two alcoholics proficiently). Make a reservation. There's always a wait (well worth it though). Hint: For seniors or handicapped, look for the elevator. The steps can be challenging.

Depending upon where you are coming from in downtown Silver Spring, there is a bit of a climb to reach this restaurant. However, once you reach the restaurant everything levels off for you. This restaurant is very accessible with tables spread out and two his/her accessible restrooms. We all had Pho Tai and Pho Tai, Nam, Gan, Sach which was so delicious and served hot, which we appreciated. We also ordered Thai Iced Tea and Iced Coffee with condensed milk. This restaurant also serves beer and wine. We had great service and enjoyed the ambiance in the restaurant especially the photographs on the walls.

We've eaten here twice and they have an expansive sushi menu however much of the choices are too "busy"- trying too hard to be unique and the flavors are a bit overkill. We prefer a simpler choice of sushi where you can still taste the fish. Despite this it's a lively place and we enjoyed ourselves.

Decided to have an early dinner after seeing a movie at AFI. Kao Thai is across Colesville and a short walk from the Silver Spring Metro stop. They were almost empty when we arrived at 4 PM, but a stream of customers started shortly after. Conversation was easy the whole time we were there. Both the Yum WoonSen and Drunken Noodles (with chicken) were very good. At the spicy level, the drunken noodles had the right amount of heat that provided balance to the plate. Service was good. We will return to try other dishes so we can compare their food to the other Thai reswtaurants in the Silver Spring and Wheaton area.

Mandalay has been one of our favorite restaurants for 15 plus years when it started in the College Park Donut Shop before it moved to Silver Spring.Family run..food consistently great and nice portions.Good Service. Full bar We always start with a green mango salad. I love the yellow beans with scallions and rice. My husband gets their famous wide noodle dish...similar to chow fung with chicken. Leftovers are carried home to be enjoyed a second timr.Fun to have each person try something different so you can share and try new dishes@ Dessert is a must..Shweji..a Burmese speciality cream of wheat, raisins, coconut milk..served warm.Put this on your Must try list when in the DC /Silver Spring/ Montgomery county area. You won't be sorry!! We came from DE to.go since we were in the area! They recently opened up a burmese salad place in DC on Wisconsin and M Street.
