Chi Restaurant is located in room with a high vaulted wood ceiling making the room quiet and lighting soft. The restaurant invites quiet conversations. While the menu offers standards, Khmer dishes on the menu reward visitors willing to step outside their normal selections. The duck curry balances spice and heat with a deft touch as do the other Khmer dishes. Breakfast ranges from European to Asian dishes with soup making a delicious alternative to pancakes or omelets. An area of the restaurant is given over to the bar which not only can offer all the standard cocktails but also offers its own specialties - just ask. All of this is brought together by a friendly engaged staff who are delighted to take the extra moment for a smile or a quiet chat.

We've tried a number of other little restaurants which don't compare in quality of food, friendliness or value. The staff here are smiling and attentive... they really want to please. The menu is extensive and offers lots of Cambodian and Western options. Vegetarian choices are plentiful. As a place to have a meal, I have my reservations, because to enjoy good food, one must actually see the food. But as an experience, it is something unique. The main point of the experience is interacting with your blind guide while youâre having your meal in complete darkness. That is the real value. The blind guides are well trained. It is a chance to talk with them about things that can be awkward in any other setting. Thus, one comes out enriched. The food, which is secret until you have finished it, tastes very good. If you find yourself in Siem Riep you must try this restaurant. We had the degustation with matched wines. Everything was superb. It was particularly interesting for me to try the frogsâ legs. We ate at Meric Khchei twice during our short visit to Siem Reap and we were extremely pleased with the quality of everything that we tried. The food is expensive by siem reap standards but the show is included which makes this good value. Food and service is excellent and the 4 dance shows are very entertaining. Overall good value and a great way to experience Cambodian food and traditional dance.

We stopped in after a long morning of temple touring and enjoyed two fresh fruit shakes, Curry and fried noodles. Flavours were great and the price was right. Owner super friendly, and listening to the other patrons, sounds like there are a lot of repeat customers. We decided to eat here based on the reviews. Its a good thing that this restaurant offers a free round-trip tuk-tuk ride otherwise, we wouldn't have found it. Its tucked away in the midst of a residential neighborhood. The restaurant has a homey paradise feel to it - traditional Khmer wooden house second floor amidst the trees. Service is superb and attentive; very hospitable. I like that part of the profit/proceeds goes to a good cause of training and education.Thank you for the complimentary spring roll appetizers. Fried beef with red ants was interesting and intriguing (not sure if red ants were supposed to be crispy). The beef steak was a bit tad chewy but still mighty tasty. Chicken curry was delicious. We went there for dinner after a long day trip in Angkor Archaeological park. We were led to the second floor, which was very cozy and spacious.
