Except for places like Penang and Kelantan, a disproportionate number of Malay restaurants serving mixed rice/nasi kandar/buffet style dishes are mediocre. Much of the food is usually cooked overnight and reheated or much of it is too oily or sweet. This restaurant is different. Sure there are still a few duds amongst the dishes but the sheer variety of the choices is so big that you are sure to find something you like. Never have I come to a restaurant where there are so many choices of fishes to eat. The dessert selection is also mind-boggling. On top of that, the restaurant also sells all kinds of Malay cakes to buy back home. This restaurant is so dominating of the entire neighbourhood that practically every single shop there is overshadowed by this restaurant. I feel sorry for all the other restaurants there because the only customers they can mostly get are leftover customers who can't get any sitting in Restoran Hatinie and are forced to come over. Best time to come is probably around 11am before the lunchtime crowd starts pouring in. It is strongly recommended that you do not come just before the Friday prayers because it will be packed.

I came due to the good reviews. I ordered the Pai kut, meatballs and bean sprouts. Service was fast and prices were reasonable. The Pai kut was somewhat bony and lacked the juiciness I expected. The bean sprouts felt old. The meatballs thankfully were very good. Expect for Friday lunch and maybe Saturday dinner, parking is usually not a problem. The dining area is reasonably clean. The problem is this restaurant is located in a rather dirty area of Klang. At night expect rats and cockroaches to loiter in the streets around the restaurant. I didn't dare look closely at the kitchen but part of it is protruding out into the streets with people cutting stuff outside. Will I be back? Maybe if I'm in the area. To try some more dishes and have the meatballs again. But I won't be making a special trip for this.

Excellent well established seafood restaurant near old airport. The place is now well refurbished into modern design. The food quality yet remains good, no wonder it's packed all the time. Lala clam in slightly spicy broth was excellent. Steam fish with soya sauce also recommended. Ice lettuce salad was incredibly refreshing. Good wine list available.

The soup used with the mee hoon kuih is what make this dish special. Plus the mee hoon kuih is cooked just nice not too thick or too thick. But prepared to wait as on average take 20mins to get your bowl during lunch time. Other times is quite fast.

Ti Chen has always been one of our favorite restaurants for amazing dim sum and a good meal. The service by Jeffrey (manager)'s team is always superb and is always personalised to cater for a great customer experience. The chefs are super friendly and always take time to come by and ensure everything is in order & get feedback from customers. Definitely highly recommended. One of my personal fav is the hot & sour soup, fried rice, charcoal egg tarts as well as their lobster noodles! A must have.Dear Gwynefer8,Greetings from Ti Chen Restaurant at The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur!Thank you very much for uploading your dining experience on TripAdvisor!I am delighted to hear that you had enjoyed the overall food quality, service and ambiance at Ti Chen Restaurant. We are really happy that Jeffrey took good care of you, i will personally share your feedback with Jeffrey and team.We look forward to have the opportunity of welcoming you back again.Best regardsK.SubraFood & Beverage Manager

When you talk about Bah Ku Tek (BKT for short) what come to most peoples mind is this place. However, fame has gotten to their heads their prices are higher, quality has dropped and really some cost-cutting to increase profit. If you want to try real BKT this is no longer the place for it. Really sad..

Dewakan is a name from two Malay words. "Dewa", the Malay word for god and "Makan" which means to eat or just simply; food. To us Dewakan means food from God, and as a restaurant we want to honour the bounty and the blessing given to our land. We want to
The restaurant won an official title of Best Malaysian Restaurant and it indeed is. This is very much a trip in itself as it is located in the university campus quite far from the city centre (your trip could easily take over 1,5 hours in case you travel in the normal evening rush hour). There are only two set menus to choose from, I would recommend the largest one. Portions are small and you would not overeat anyway.Service is excellent, but be prepared no petit fours before or sweets after you've finished your menu. Also once you've finished the restaurant staff shows no interest to you any more. Also almost 75 % of the wine list was missing so we had to choose from very few remaining titles. However I would still highly recommend the place as it is truly different from any other KL restaurant.
