Cozy Thai

Wow! What a fabulous dining experience. First of all, the place IS cozy. It has a homey, relaxing, comfortable vibe. Our server, Tony, greeted us warmly, and as first-time diners, he explained the cozy Thai spice/heat flavors and how the spices helped enhance the flavors. Best, most eloquent description I’ve ever heard. His descriptions of the appetizers and meals were detailed and spot on. You could really taste the pork in the fried spring rolls... no filler. Same for the eggplant/seafood dish. He described how you would taste the eggplant. Again, spot on. Food, service, vibe was perfect. Can’t wait to try the sushi that they’ll begin offering next week. Will have to wait for our next visit to Buffalo!

Haven eaten at their other location, I was beyond excited this was opened in Hamburg! Now I eat here approximately once a month. It is always consistently excellent. The food is fresh and perfectly seasoned. Service is friendly without being pushy or smothering. Good selection of wine and beer. No liquor license but wine and beer go so well with the spicy food! The restaurant is rather small but very clean. Parking can be tough when it’s busy and you may have to park on the street. They offer takeout. My favorite Asian spot!!

Visiting my grandkids in Hamburg at Thanksgiving again and we once again got take out from this great local restaurant. Prices are reasonable and portions large. I ordered Happy Family which had pork, scallops, shrimp, chicken and veggies and it was great. My Mum had chicken and broccoli and it lasted her for two meals. My grandkids are picky eaters but they love the sweet and sour chicken here and the fortune cookies too. Very nice. Only thing that could make this a 5* review would be if Ginger and Garlic offered brown rice in addition to white rice!

I have been eating chinese food for 30 years and have never before tried something so horrendous in that time. My wife ordered me a chicken with broccoli combo. the chicken was rubbery and had a bad aftertaste. The rice could be molded together to make a superball. I went back to the restaurant to complain, but the gentleman spoke very poor english. So, after 2 phone calls with people who "speak better english", I was prompted to try some "fresh rice". I didn't think it was possible, but it was worse that the rice I got with my combo. They made me a new order of chicken with broccoli this time with pork fried rice. As I was leaving the restaurant with my order, the two gentlemen in the restaurant shut the light off and practically ran out the door. When I got home, I sat down to eat my meal. The chicken was again rubbery and the vegetables were raw. On the upside, the pork fried rice was good. All in all, I won't be going there again and I would suggest the same to anyone who enjoys chinese food.
