If there's one "chill out" spot on the northern part of the island you don't want to miss, it's the Truck Stop. There's a cusine for every age, stage and taste available at the various "container kiosks" and it's all pretty tasty. Over our week on the island, we enjoyed tacos, pizza, egg rolls, beer and coconut mojitos during several visits and were never disapointed. Plus, as fellow reviewers testify, there's just this great, relaxed, warm vibe with everything going on from live music to family board games to little ones dipping in the pool. So, park your golf cart out front, put on bug spray, and take a seat sharing a picnic table with others to enjoy the evening. You'll be glad you did.

After a long day of diving, my wife and I didn't want to stray too far from our AirBNB. Luckily, this restaurant showed up nearby on Google maps. We didn't have reservations, which are recommended since there are only six tables, but we showed up right when when they opened. We were immediately seated and promptly served filtered ice water. The owner was incredibly friendly and chatted us up while we looked through the menu. When it came time to order, he actually convinced us not to order multiple entrees, which was a surprise. Of course, he was right because the entree we did get was quite large and beautifully plated. I highly recommend the #3 shrimp skewer appetizer and the #28 crazy noodles. The food was incredibly good, and reasonably priced. I have eaten several times at Rendezvous and have really enjoyed their freshly prepared food. I recommend the stuffed grouper as a main course, cooked to perfection, I split a starter with a friend and we had Seafood ceviche and also the shrimp ali bang bang - which was so well presented it was a feast for the eyes before you tasted it, we also had on recommendation of the staff the coconut mojito which I had never had before - very very nice!! Although it is up island, and could be a little difficult to get to without a golf cart (the main transport on the island) I went the second time by water taxi which is close to the centre of town by the San Pedro express for Bzd 7 each way, the last boat runs back to the main town up until 11 pm from jetty directly outside the bar, With friendly staff, good food and a beach front bar away from the central San Pedro it was well worth the effort for a visit.Thank you so much for your review Roger. We enjoyed having you with us and hope to see you again soon. Your next meal with us, you will have to try the coconut pie. It is totally made on site (we pick and grind our own coconut) and scrumptious.
